There was a THX remastered OT VHS set that came out before the theatrical release of the Special Edition (Han shot first, no Jedi Rock, Yub-Yub...ect)

I remember better colors and sound.

Quick Google search says 1995 it was released

I don't think it's shit & don't feel that KK made a point to ruin the OG SW characters who are actually playing out the very rolls that were described of them in the OT.

Luke was a whiney bitch who rocked up & did something great, & then he reverted back to being a whiney bitch in the end. Yoda warned of this saying he was too fooked to train... sighed & then said well fuck it I'll give a go anyway. He recalled this pov again in Ep. 8

I'd say it worked out in the end... & Luke gave his life to save the rebels & so he's teh hero once again, but in no way is luke becoming the same whiney bitch he always has been "ruining the characters." It's simply a continuation of their story that you personally wish they would've taken another direction on.

On the real... going into ep. 8... I was drooling for Rock Star God Like Luke, but that's not what we got... so I'm not going to throw a fit about it. Once I got over that, I saw the movie in a different light & understood what the writters intended... & I'm all in.

I've never seen any of the new ones in theaters.

The only new one I could finish was the first one which was a ripoff of the original movie.

I tapped out of Solo after 20 minutes. The color was off and it was literal shit. I tapped out at General Purple hair in the one. Never watched the third.

I and many many many other people feel the Star Wars universe is better than ever since the world's first guaranteed continuity kicked in & you've got continuity from every single fooking Canon outlet. NOBODY ever in the history of entertainment has done anything even close to this scale.

My kids collected all different kinds of star wars toys, my daughter named our dog after Ray, we played battlefront together etc.. Mara, Luke and Grogu = Money

As an EU OG I don't even care if Mara comes in to New Canon tied to a story with Thrawn or not, both are great characters that can stand on their own, as long as they stay somewhat true to their origins...best handled by some Tim Zahn....
