There are a lot of versions and edits out there for the Original Trilogy.
From the top of my head:
- Original Edition
- Original but with new name / scroll
- Home releases VHS and the holy grail of the Laser Disc
- The Special Edition
- The DVD and more important the Two DVD pack that also included the version of the earlier ones that was considered 'more' pure if you will
- The Bluray version / release and remastered or whatever they did to it
- The Disney+ streaming version that surprisingly again had new thing with the "maclunkey" line good old George still had one more in him

Probably I missed one, I tried to be in order but they are a lot.
Main idea with the original lightsabers is they were considered "blue" on paper but technically the only time you can actually see some legit blue color is in the Vader vs Obi duel the rest is dominated by a strong white color in the middle/core that kinda makes the blade seem cyan in color.
Then as you advance to Empire Strikes Back you have a bunch of versions and some more nuances to Vader's blade that in the originals with a pink-ish hue but they made Luke's more blue in that one.

To summarize original should be cyan/white looking with a tad blue in the duel scene. Then moving forward you get better blue until we get green xD.

There was a THX remastered OT VHS set that came out before the theatrical release of the Special Edition (Han shot first, no Jedi Rock, Yub-Yub...ect)

I remember better colors and sound.

There's a 4k77 one that looks really interesting & is likely even better than the ones Lucas Film has put out. I've never seen it but the previews look fantastic. I'll probably hook up one of these dayz

There's obviously more than is on the surface (hence the name) so can't we just give them a chance to tell the story before blasting it?

1. They specifically mentioned that it was made of kyber crystals in the video.

2. That's still incredibly stupid. The notion that kyber crystals are sentient living things isn't decades old. It was a silly retcon after Kathleen Kennedy's story group got rid of the Expanded Universe and replaced it with their garbage new canon.

That’s a resin print! It’s a vat of plastic resin and a super HD UV light cures the resin as it moves or something. You can get SUPER detailed prints from those. 4K resolution lights and all that.

LoL. Enjoy the shit. KK made it a point to ruin the OG SW characters and push muh feeeemales are better narrative. I've never seen any of the new ones in theaters. The only new one I could finish was the first one which was a ripoff of the original movie.

I tapped out of Solo after 20 minutes. The color was off and it was literal shit. I tapped out at General Purple hair in the one. Never watched the third.

You can have this garbage.

But please, don't get mad at the fans that point out that it is garbage.

Yeah, i've just been watching Star Wars Theory talk about that. Obviously, i'm disappointed but i reminded myself that awesome productions like The Mandalorian have still happened so it's not all doom & gloom. There will likely be some social justice focused dogshit but i envision that even under Favreau/Filoni leadership they still would've paid lip service to those groups anyway.

After seeing what F & F can do she and her ilk might not have much narrative control anymore anyway. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mando is a new beginning.
