Star Wars Megathread

Bit long but I thought this was a much better setup for the sequels. Amazing how much better the fan community is at Star Wars than the people actually running it.

That was awesome.
Watching the "What If Star Wars: The Last Jedi was Awesome?" now

Get hyped motherfuckers

I'm in the minority that likes Rebels more than Clone Wars. A little conflicted on the live action versus animation, but am happy to get a resolution regardless. The trailer looks really good, just hope it delivers.

I saw someone post Mandalorian S1 & S2 are coming out on 4K disc and supposed to be pre-ordering today. Surprised because I thought they'd keep that gem to lure Disney+ subscribers.

That does seem strange at face value... but they do have an extensive long term strategy that results in a theatrical release for several series to conclude on... so maybe it makes sense for advertising.

If people get sucked into their front running most popular show, they might "Disney oop" to see teh rest.

Purrgil Hyperspace travel is teh mystery teh space station ring is looking to track & then navigate.

ExtraGalactializing travel... is a new Canon take for future movies... so are likely foreshadowing a future movie/trilogy or something that involves that.

I'm imagining completely new beings & locations like what waz described by the GOT creators... who were on deck to make a new Star Wars Trilogy at one point... & they said it would take place in a different time & there would be no recognizable characters. I really wondered how they were going to pull that off since the unknown regions are now being mapped out & were being used by teh empire to build their Snoke fleet in secret after being defeated in Ep 6.

Hyperspace to different galaxy'z open up a whole different galaxy of "happeningz & beingz" who are unique & have been evolving as much as our own. Maybe longer... maybe shorter. (longer I'd expect)

This new series now offerz us that perspective. ...or at least it's now made it possible & so canon lor has now explained how its done... so that this & future films can draw from that endless creativity that is not bound by current lor.

FOOKING SWEET imo!!!

I feel they're opening that option up in teh Axocka seriez because this seemz very out of place that teh big bad got whisked off to a completely new galaxy & now has to come back.

I mean, he's already from teh outer regions, & so they could've just had Thrawn retreat there... but they chose another galaxy... & created teh purrgil whale'z to get him there. (I guess they had to explain his & Ezra'z absence from teh original trilogy though)

In Ahsoka Ep. 2... they created teh enormous transport circle with "another" hyperdrive that in itself is bigger than anything the republic usez... so teh hole thing seemz to had been crafted for the purpose of introducing travel to other galaxies... & I'm just presenting the question of why they needed to do that since Thrawn was from teh outer regions & could've just as easily disappeared there.

I'm loving these first 3 eps. Sabine doesn't have teh gifts, but since everything has midichlorianz in it... an individual with perhaps lower than normal midichlorians... "for a Jedi" can still learn to call upon teh force at whatever capacity they're capable of.

I love this line of lor... because it tellz us that we can do the same. iow... maybe the universe didn't give us the ability we see in others... but we have to do what we can with what we got. Very motivational.

Deciphering ancient text is some sh*t I might-of doen if I had teh time... but this video decipherz all of the locationz on teh end credit scenes of Ahsoka Ep. 3. It's mostly "in universe" but inevitably leadz to teh next galaxy.

I want Thrawn to kill or arrange the death of at least one Rebels main character to establish his badassery.

He already killed Kanan. Isn't that enough for your insatiable taste for bloodlust?

That was the cartoon.
Hera or Sabine gotta go, preferably Hera so we can be all sad and depressed that her kid is an orphan...or maybe he gets adopted and becomes a Padawan.

Sweet breakdown of Ahsoka'z full history, as well as some obscure tidbits even hardcores will enjoy. It's a good watch.

Can start at 4:10 when Ahsoka joined anakin as his padawan.

One fine evening prior to teh Ahsoka seriez:

...Morgan Elsbeth, Witch of Dathomir... conjures Maul'z spirit...

Anaphasic-Dathomir.jpg

...but Maul'z spirit can only stay local, as it is bound to Dathomir...

...however, she has lured inquisitor Marrok to "assist" in teh conjuring ceremony, who is terrified yet honored when he realizez his real purpose for attendance... waz to become possessed by Lord Maul'z spirit. ?1?

A precedent established when teh spirit of Momin... in a canon comic... could possess another living being in order to interact physically & fight!

Filoni wouldn't dare!!! lol... :p

...or would he?

Teh Mask of Maul
How poetic would it be if Ahsoka cuts him in half & the 2 halvez are drawn back together by a green mist. Maul/Marrok wagz his finger back n forth as if to say, "Oh no... not this time". :D

Teh canon StarWars.com data bank ...for "Marrok"

"Marrok (Inquisitor)
Once an Inquisitor hunting Jedi for the Empire, the mysterious Marrok now works as a mercenary hired by Morgan Elsbeth to carry out dark deeds. Fully encased in battered battle armor, the warrior still carries a red double-bladed saber with a circular hilt."

This confirmz that Marrok had been active while Maul was still alive. It could still be Maul though... through possession n stuff...

That said, it could also be anyone under that armor... including teh inquisitorious him/herself.

We often have our disagreements.

This could be awesome but would need to be done perfectly, otherwise it could come off as cheap fan service.

Oh yeah, they'll be skating on thin ice bringing Maul back AGAIN!!!

I was just letting my mind wander a bit on whether or not it could be Maul... since a Nightsister is at teh head of teh snake atm.

They do have canon precedents that will allow it.
