A rumor did the rounds last year (see below) that Lucasfilm's planned Rey-focused Star Wars movie was going to be titled "A New Beginning." This appeared to be debunked shortly after, and the project has been referred to as "New Jedi Order" ever since.


However, it seems the initial report may have been accurate after all.


According to Production List (via The DisInsider) the movie is set to begin filming at Pinewood Studios in London this September, and is currently listed as Star Wars: Episode X – A New Beginning.

So The Force Awakens basically ripped off A New Hope. I expect this "A New Beginning" to rip off The Phantom Menace, but replace the lightsaber fight scene with a scene on alien pronouns

I love Dave filoni's approach to the sequel trilogy, where he basically pretends it doesn't exist.

None of his shows have any connection to kylo ren, BB8, Finn, or Rey.

I think that's the smart move. He's waiting for a third Kennedy assassination so he can take over and de-canonize that shitty trilogy.

Hell, I'm pretty tired of Jedi and Sith if I'm being honest.

I think the jedi vs sith theme is so ingrained in the franchise that without it, people don't pay attention to it. I love Andor but many people criticise it for not being "starwarsy" enough and the popularity suffers. But at least they could explore possibility of doing movies in the knight of the old republic era. There are still jedi and sith but at least there is no skywalker.

Tbh without Jedi/Sith and Mandos Star Wars is just real life with aliens and space travel and if you stay in the same place its just real life. Pretty much everything in Star Wars is attached to 1 of those 3 factions in one way or another.
