$80!!!!! Wow. I'm sure I'll fold and buy it this afternoon. Anybody else notice that Dorn isn't shown either?
Dorn is involved, he just wasn't in the promo video. Every major cast member is other than Avery Brooks.

Now that they have blown past there goal, they set up some extended goals, and if they hit 250k it means the doc will be over 2 hours.

Thoughts on the new Klingons? I don't mind the ridge going all the way around the head (on the TNG episode where Worf breaks his back we see him on the table and his spine is ridged much like his forehead, so it would stand to reason it wraps around), but the lack of hair seems like a pointless excuse to be different. Same with the armor, don't know why the couldn't stick with the standard established by the ToS movies.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I don't mean the last movie design, I mean the leaked photo that an extra posted and then deleted:

I mean man it really depends. Maybe these Klingons are in the middle of transformation from old to new style.

Or from a different planet

I'm not an expert, but that armor design doesn't look like any that I'm really familiar with Klingons using. Do you have pics of this old style you're suggesting they're transitioning from? What I could find of ENT-era Klingons they just wore a lot more furs.

Looks a bit much.

Pick one version of Klingon or the other, don't add another one.

I was actually thinking of transitioning from ENT-forehead to TNG-forehead. It could be something that already started somewhere in the Klingon empire at TOS minus 10 but had not affected everyone by Kirk's time.

Hopefully those aren't Klingons and some other alien, perhaps the person was goofing around in sharing such.

They look more Xindi than anything.

I am hoping these leaked Klingons are not the main Klingons. There were leaks early on of a Klingon sarcophagus ship, and some of the new set designs leaked, appear to be similar to those designs. I'm thinking these might be some ancient Klingons or maybe even a species who have Klingon DNA or something. Regardless, i'm thinking there has to be some sort of time travel element

its ugly. Klingon ships are my favorite

No the film is included in the perks. They have packages ranging from $5-$3000, where you get various perks.

For example I pledged $50 and I will get
  • Online Video Library
  • Digital Stream
  • Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack
  • Poster & Film Credit
  • Name On Website
And if you have never donated to crowdfunding, it can be a fun process. You will get a behind the scenes look on how the movie is made. The companies involved have run campaigns before, including last years For the love of Spock.

thanks. I will take a look.

Rumor is that leaked photo isn't Klingons, photo taker thought they "looked like Klingons" and went with it.

Discovery lookin like a sausage party. There's been what, 2 or 3 females cast?

And I borderline hate the Square Enix "Klingon" ships.

Still curious to see what crew members will be alien species. They said early on that there would be a lot more alien species than past trek series. Doug Jones Lt.Suru will be a new species, but I'm guessing we will also see a few vulcans and Andorians at least.

After CBS brought the wrath of god down upon him, and fired him, I'm sure he's playing dumb.

It would make sense lore wise, but I'm afraid this is just the new look. Also have to Remember that Bryan Fuller was using ST VI as a launching point which featured general Chang who looked like he was a augment mix(Even though this was years before Enterprise)

Yeah I've read over on trekbbs that the general thought is they're definitely Klingons and the photo sharing guy was just trying to do damage control.

But hell, this day and age it could be an intentional "leak" to get an early feel on what Trek fans might think.
