Discovery was pushed back to May.
Big shocker there.

Be great if they rethought the time period.
Also, does that slow down the launch of CBS's paywall 'service'? Or is it live already?
I am wondering about a couple of timing issues. Fuller said they'd Start shooting in September and end around March. But they want to start the series in January. IMO this does not quite fit with a weekly schedule (was it ever confirmed btw?) and a start on All Access the week after the Pilot.
From some sources ive been reading it sounds like Fuller really pushed for the delay and used the online buzz the show has been generating to show CBS they needed to spend more time getting the Pre-production teams more time, and to build a larger VFX team, and give them enough lead time to produce really great special effects. This also allows Fuller to complete his work on his other show, American Gods, then fully focus on Trek. It's also sounding like, they have a list of actors they like, but the roles are set up, so they don't have to make specific choices until closer to production. Also saying that quite a few big names and well known actors have approached them to be cast.
Moonves is well known for disliking Trek, and pretty much sealed Enterprises fate during season 1. That's also the reason we've had very little trek in the past decade while he's been in charge. Its pretty clear that Treks success on streaming platforms, and merchandising revenue, has shown him what a valuable property they owned. Now when asked its nothing but praise for the company "family jewels", and are actually supporting the franchise and making sure they get it right. They sure feel the pressure.

Yeah, you know Trekkies are all anticipating The Good Wife. I for one, can't wait another day.I like how he threw out the good wife spin off, as if that is going to tide over trek fans. I think most trek fans don't watch garbage shows. At least I really hope.
