Stalker 2 Trailer

Another small patch today fixing quest progress issues.

Economy fixes have been a welcome change. Figured out the mechanics for artifact hunting, and with he increase in sell price and repair price reduction, have been able to save up a nice stock of credits so I can actually focus on upgrading equipment. Made some big character progress with some pretty nice artifacts sending my survivability way up. Now going side quest crazy clearing the map sections before doing any main quest stuff.

Patch 1.1 hit the other day and it's pretty massive, over 100 gigs and 1800 fixes.

About had my fill with side content at about 60 hours in and just focusing on the main story now to wrap it up. Had a good time with it, but ready to move on. Especially with the holidays, added a bunch of games to my library with all the sales.

Overall, how would you rate it?

They fix their A-life AI?

Overall, how would you rate it?

I would say a 6.5/7 of 10.

The gun mechanics felt really good and enjoyed the artifact system they used. I very much enjoyed the first half of the game and encampments, and searching out weapon caches. Started getting the open world fatigue after about that point. World is so large and the stamina mechanic is terrible. Getting high end artifacts for stamina Regen help a bunch, but feels like how the initial stamina should be. Story is pretty bland but not really playing for the story.

Inventory weight and stamina are a huge burden and enjoyed the MUCH more when a slapped on an infinite stamina and no carry weight for ammo/health. I know that's not how the game was intended but running back and forth shuttling loot to sell to keep my armor repaired was taking up like half my game time and I probably would have quit.

They fix their A-life AI?

They said they did in the patch notes but it doesn't seem like the open world enemies have changed much. Enemies still spawn randomly close and they see you from see you from way far away and start shooting.

I only played for a few hours this morning post patch, much of which was done in the main quest underground, so didn't see to much of the open world stuff.

Thx man. If you don't mind reporting back when you're in the open world I'd appreciate that.

Got a few hours in the morning cleaning up a few stashes and farming for one last artifact.

Definitely more activity in the open world. Previously you could run for kilometers and not see any activity. Now I'm running across a ton of battle remnants with dead bodies/mutants, and roving patrols both good and bad. It's hard to tell though if the AI is improved or just more spawns. Guards patrol have been doing their thing but sneaking in this game is absolutely broken and enemy detection is crazy with enemies spotting you as soon as they get a line of sight. Then they open fire with shotguns and pistols from 150 meters out and pepper you until you can close the distance.

TY kindly! Sounds like they should have released this as an early access game.
