Social Spying on Trump confirmed: Operation Crossfire Hurricane ***UPDATE: Comey Admits, "I Was Wrong" ***

Care to let us know why the thread title remains, despite the AG flatly stating the Trump campaign was spied on? Not even being an asshole, clearly a mod rushed to change the title originally, then it changed again when Barr disputed the IG report, and then it changed again, with a demonstrably false title?

Did you watch his interview today?

What do you call sending in people wired up to record conversations, and falsifying evidence to obtain access to their electronic records?

The AG calls it spying.
It's the IG report not the AG report. I'm sure you'll be happy enough to discredit this report and Mueller's only to parrot Durham's like it's the gospel. Prove me wrong Bobby. <{fry}>

Sure there are, and some disciplinary action should be meted out, but it's nothing that invalidates the investigation. Trump's campaign was not illegally spied on.
That’s one criteria of wrongdoing. There’s is also abuse of process, lying to or misleading the court, and misconduct and violation of a suspects rights namely Michael Flynn but others connected to the campaign as well. And as for spying, the limitations of the IG have been made clear by Barr and Durham, whose public statements indicate that there will certainly be some very nervous individuals in the intelligence agencies and Obama justice department. Spying is certainly still in play as far as Durham’s concerned.

From the beginning of the review it’s been 6 months and the whole Trump - Russia thing dragged on for 2+ years. One things for sure - both Barr and Durham are definitely way different to Trump - they’re deliberate and meticulous and will not say things that will bring their reputation as lawyers into question. If they’re saying “there’s more” then believe me - there’s more. So keep sweating and using the whole gambit of one liners : “nothingburger”, “this is it”, “the best people”. The people who have been laughing since November 16, will still be laughing in November 2020 and beyond.

What did I ever state was false in the Meuller report.

Please quote it.

Oh, that’s right, you can’t. You’re playing pretend again.

Reality check, the conservatives here were right on Russia from day 1.

These democrats are literally broken. Snark one liners, insults, and mental illness is all they have left.

When you’re entire emotional wellbeing is based on schadenfreud regarding Trump, then unhappiness and negativity will constantly circle you. It’s really sad, I’m sure it probably extends to these guys personal lives as well. I’m not sure if there is a solution though - even a total exposure of the bad actors by Durham will not convince them - they’re too far gone.

It absolutely effects their personal lives.

FFS homer had a mid life crisis here.

Barr sold his soul to the devil trump. This is quite comical. Trump is hands down the worst president ever.
Expected spin “ investigation didn’t go the way I wanted therefore Barr is corrupt and evil “

If you compare the length of time these types of investigations take it's Durham's that's being fast tracked. Horowitz's took more than a year and a half. Durham's will be ready just in time to give Trump propaganda for the election. Whatever it says though let's wait to see if it's as successful as Mueller's in terms of initiating prosecutions that end in convictions.

Listen to yourself, "even a total exposure of the bad actors by Durham will not convince them", you're already convinced that's what his report will do. Is it going to include guys like Brennan and Clapper or will you consider it a victory if it's only low level people that are charged?

I’m not convinced of anything, hence the word ‘a’ as in a possible outcome, perhaps likely outcome. As for ‘victory’ I think it’s apparent, perhaps even to you, that there were certainly bad faith steps taken by officials and law enforcement personnel in 2016 and 2017. That’s come out, and it will be a continual theme the next 11 months.

That will probably be victory enough as it vindicates Trump’s narrative of the Russia investigation origins.

Please explain what universe the AG flatly stating in an NBC interview, the trump campaign was “clearly spied on” is not major news?

Honestly, since this has now turned into a thread where we’re lumping spying on GP, with fisa abuse (which this thread was never about, this thread was about naming Stephan Halper, and later his female accomplice), it should be turned into a megathread. As it is, so many threads were merged with this, it’s an unfollowable mess.

That seems to be the liberal strategy in Canada too.

Make everything as overly complicated, convoluted, and messy as possible so nobody can follow your tracks.

Sorry Langford, but withholding information that weakens or disproves your case when seeking a warrant is a crime. It’s particularly fucked up when seeking a FISA warrant. The report shows that these “errors” occurred again and again, and across different teams at the FBI.
They interviewed Steele’s single source in March, ‘17 and he told them that the information he provided Steele was bullshit. The FBI didn’t disclose this little tidbit to the FISA judge when renewing the warrants.
There’s much more than that, but the report is long.
Don’t trust the headlines, mang... this is spin city.

You do realize his investigation was turned criminal back in March right? So you think nothing will come of it?
The investigation was initiated by Bill Barr and is being run by Bill Barr. You're a moron (not you personally) if you think John Durham is doing anything more than grunt work on it.

That's unfair to all the faithful servants in the FBI, and definitely not healthy for us as a country. A nation's belief in its law enforcement institutions is critical to its ability to function. Just look at Iraq or anywhere where they don't enjoy that.

At the same time, anyone who looked into the details of the IG report should be sympathetic to why he is furious with them. There wasn't just a single bad actor. There was multiple teams of them. They were not acting in good faith.
Not acting in good faith, but A-politically. Trump and Barr are joke liars and it's wonderful the IG smeared the shit filled diaper right in their faces.

No, it's pretty obvious that the primary players in this debacle, such as Page and Strzok, acted with a partisan malice.
