Media Spotted kamaru Usman on Black Panther set

I don't watch movies and think superheroe movies are typically garbage. I saw it with a girl I had a crush on and the movie was really solid.

The reason it's divisive is because it has racial messaging in it and the right wing nerd community has a seizure anytime remotley political invades their selfish escapism. It was a good film a great film by the standards of it's shitty genre.

The sequel is going to be more divisive because the main characters actor died and his sister is going to be the lead.

One flaw with Black Panther I is it has the "Law Abdiding citizen" issue where it fails to convince the audience the villian was in the wrong and leaves audiences unsatisfied with the outcome.
Superhero hero movies are for children and middle aged slobs with a receding hairline and dorito dust encrusted finger tips

Ehhh Marvel's been churning out shit-tier movies of late.
We'll at least Usman'a probably gonna get a little more screen time than Woodley, who's barely got any lines in those B movies he seem to be in

Can appreciate a deep thinker.
Ain't black panthers just black on black leopards
The term "Black panther" is technically a bit of a redundancy. 'Panthera' is the entire genus that includes lions, tigers, leopards, & jaguars. Both leopards and jaguars can have black on black colorations, so the term "Panther" became fairly synonymous to this melanin-specific and not species-specific grouping of creatures.

Personally, I thought the film was great, but let down by an incredibly shitty climax. I get the reason why, and it's hard to blame them, but man you can't have a story that drives all towards this deadly feud, then phone in a completely CGI fight in a completely CGI environment so it looks like 2 rubber actions figures spinning around in a microwave.

There's a few "superhero" films with good filmmaking.
The Dark Knight, for example.
The Watchmen is also a good watch
He's not worth responding to. Not a thought that comes out of his head is serious, and most are just used to bait.

Ya know, Ragnarok was only a few months before Black Panther, and thought that was really the best of the bunch

I don’t think you have to be right wing to want comic accurate themes and characters. Same can be said about the left anytime the white male is a strong lead character. But as a comic fan I just want accuracy, not my favorite hero’s being used to push an agenda either way.

Even if you're not right wing to me it suggests selfish prioritys in a persons life. A lot of these people aren't actually right wingers(or have any thoughts about anything IRL for that matter) they just think the most important thing in the world is the sanctity of various fictional universes they use to escape the problems of this one. Even when I agree with them on the merits(it's a mixed bag) I'm disguisted by them caring more about fiction then the real problems of real people.

You see this with sports too theres people who are like "what kind of depraved monster would bring up politics in sports". I'm not just ragging on the nerds. I enjoy both sports and various fantasty shit(most of my posts recently are in the sports bar) the issue is this mentality not whether your interests are cool and fun or not. It's a priority thing not a "people are dumb for wanting things to be canonical" thing. No, I get the logic that's not the issue.

In the case of Black Panther there's going to be a female lead because the male leads actor died and it made more sense to have the character die than recast. It's a monarchy this is how monarchys work both IRL and fiction. Recasts suck I think everyone agrees with that. It takes people out of the experience.

Not that I've noticed really, but I'm sure there are racist idiots who hate it. Good movie.
Yeah we need to keep those inferior pink-skinned like a lab rat whiteys at home away from our movies

well, he's in the movie, right? So I guess thats where he'd be...on the set.

I’m not American but I hear the black panther movies are quite divisive in that country. Any truth to this?

I think everyone liked the first movie, but then Chadwick Bozeman died and the girl who is replacing him is a “controversial” figure (she posted stuff that got her labeled as “transphobic”, “antivax”, and “climate change denier”).

I don’t care what her views are, but expect the sequel to flop because it looks like a terrible film.

Just Kamaru next to a regular Sherbro. Is normal.

<{silvanormal}>

They should bring in Leon to Black Panther as well

The Black Panther movie specifically does not. However the constant, non stop, in every fucking scene and line of dialogue, left wing virtue signaling in most new movies does cause a lot of divide. As well as completely ruin the movie industry for anybody wanting to enjoy a movie with an actual plot and script that wasn't written by a 22yr old twat that never left his/her/their mom's basement.

Good for Kamaru, get that money. I like Angela Bassett, she's amazing but her exaggerating "show them who we are." Or in every sense every quote in the trailers is a little much. Either way I'm going watch this movie and root for for my brown folks of altantis.
