Love Spiders.

Had a Mexican Red knee tarantula as a pet in University.

I seriously always wished we had spiders like this in the wild we had to deal with like we do Tigers or lions.

I don’t like spiders but I’m not terrified of them like some people are. I don’t want my kids to be afraid of them so when I find one in the house I catch and release instead of killing them.

Burn it with Fire Water!!!

I'm kind of alright with spiders. Wouldn't fuck with them - the poisonous ones, but I don't get scared or revolted when I see them. Reptiles is a different story. Especially snakes.

I took one home with me in a foam cup. Went to sleep with the plan of making an enclosure for him the next morning, woke up and the damn thing chewed straight through that shit lol. Very unnerving.

Successfully got one in a tank later. Very eerie to watch it tunnel with those crazy jaws. One of the most alien bugs I've watched. Especially seeing it chew through a grasshopper like tissue paper.

If anyone here likes sci-fi/fantasy books check out the Spider World series by Colin Wilson, they're great.

"The world is a much different place than it once was. Mankind lives along side giant ants, tiger beetles and giant spiders. The last is the most dangerous, for they are armed with intelligence, mind powers and a hate for man."

One boy, living with his family in the desert, is our point of view as we explore the Earth ruled by spiders. Most of the book is nothing but action and adventure, as it was the first part of a book that was divided into three parts. So this book is, in fact, the build-up, the foundation of a much larger book. It is not a stand-alone and, if you enjoyed this volume, you will have to buy the other voumes if you wish to know what happens.

I’m not afraid of Spiders I don’t live in Australia.:D

When I was a kid spiders didn't really bug me but the bigger and stronger I got as I grew up, the bigger pussy I became when it came to spiders.

Go figure.

Grew up in Australia so they don't bother me at all.

Used to have huntsman spiders in my car almost every week as I lived next to an empty lot that must have had thousands of them. They used to chill in my car and after a while I just got over them being there. They even crawled on my hands when driving. Never been bitten by a spider, so they are cool with me

fun fact: no spiders are poisonous. you dont eat spiders and get poisoned. some spiders are venomous, though.

eat=poison
bite=venom

once you learn the difference you cant help but notice every single time someone mixes those up

Arent Hunstsmen spiders relatively harmless, though?

Huntsmen spiders in particular. I used to always kill spiders as they freaked me out. However these days i trap them and take them outside and release them.
Imagine if some spiders were the size of domestic cats? Humans would be on the menu!

Good for you. Being aware that a spider has a soul and is a creature of God is a huge step up for any person, and this compassion will pay dividends in your daily life even though you probably won't make the connection.

There are giant spiders in our home in Thailand, and they like to hang out on the walls. They aren't afraid of us because we leave them be. They could be arm's length from us in the bathroom while we're taking a shower, or right above our heads on the wall when we're in bed. They don't bother us and we don't bother them. But on occasion I'll "play" with one, kind of prod it gently with a pencil or something like that. They seem to enjoy it. They have personalities for sure.
