Inspired by Michael Bay's take on TMNT.

There's all this talk about the lack of an origin story, how we've see it all, etc. But really, there's more to an origin story than just "that moment," or acquisition of powers. It sounds like all this effort put into Parkers self actualization, "rawness of power," and learning curve is just as much an "origin" story, if not more so, than "oh shit spider bite oh man uncle's dead." We get to see him truly grow and develop, learn, come to terms / grips with himself and what power vs responsibility really means. And done so through the lens of kid, with all the vulnerability that goes along with being a kid, contrasted with his epic abilities. I think that's a slow drip origin if i ever heard one, and pretty fucking awesome.

How the hell did we go from this;

would both

Marisa Tomei strikes me as someone that's super kinky and fun in the sack.

:D He looks like Casey Jones little brother or some shit. What would be more annoying,if this is true, is that you know that Stark is going to give spidey his suit...cause stark is all everything.

Very first thing I thought was Stark seeing him and saying "Ok, not having someone on my team wearing that shit. Come on kid, I'll make you something".

If I were Peter, I'd be spying on Aunt May in the shower and shit.

Rumor: Kraven May Be the Villain in SPIDER-MAN Reboot

Sony-Spider-Man-Kravens-Last-Hunt-Dragonlord.jpg

The hunt is on for Sony’s next Spider-Man villain—and it looks to be none other than Kraven The Hunter.

Newly surfaced rumors suggest that Sony and Marvel want Kraven The Hunter as Spider-Man’s main nemesis in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. The scoop comes from Heroic Hollywood, where the site reportedly heard that Sony’s Vice President of Creative Affairs, Karen Moy, purchased a copy of the "Kraven’s Last Hunt" trade paperback last week. As HH reported, Moy routinely purchased novels for her former Sony boss, Amy Pascal, signaling a revealing trend.

Kraven The Hunter, a.k.a. Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff, is one of Spider-Man’s oldest supervillains. As a skilled hunter always looking for the next target, Kraven continuously hunts Spider-Man as "the ultimate prey." "Kraven’s Last Hunt" is considered the character’s most iconic story, in which Kraven actually succeeds in hunting down and “killing” Spider-Man (don’t worry, he got better).

Since "Kraven’s Last Hunt" takes place well into the adult Spider-Man’s career, it’s hard to imagine that Sony would directly adapt the story for their teenaged Spider-Man. What’s more likely is that Sony execs are just using the graphic novel as basic research into the character and his motivations.

Now all they need is Joe Pesci to play uncle Ben and I'm in.

Makes sense. I mean, Aunt May is from Queens. Surprised AM doesnt have a NY accent.

i say casper crump would be amazing

He's already cast in a DC project.

I vote for Richard Armitage, especially if, instead of being a Russian immigrant, the son of an aristocrat who fled to the United States with his family in 1917 after the Russian nobility was decimated by the February Revolution and subsequent collapse of the reign of Tsar Nicholas II, he's an American dentist.

btw, very hopeful that this movie is done well enough to keep the franchise going.
I've had Kraven at the top of my list since.... for a really long time.
