Spacetime

Son, I've seen your face about 30 times on sherdog. Why blur your face now?

Well, you pump your fists before you throw, you deliberately threw the former ones less enthusiastically because you are under the delusion that you're going to prove a point about elbow flare so these are far more tense with a ton of tension just before you throw it, and your hands are in terrible positions to do anything about a counter-attack, or simultaneously timed attack.

Yeah, just garbage.

Say what you want. You can't teach speed, and speed is what does them in every single time.. It's the second greatest asset after a chin. "If you can't snap em, you can't whack em!" /Spacetime

But the thing is any speed you have is negated by how tense you are and your tells. I wanna see if you can jab like that while moving and use it to build up more punches.

Not sure why you don't think I can move and punch. Is this what you're talking about? The coordination of it all?

I'm no Ali but my coordination is better than Wilder. I never trip over my lead foot and lose balance.

So I fucked around in different ways, including "wrong" ones. You'll notice the jab changes drastically ...

Jab evolution for your viewing pleasure.

I take the traditional low English/Irish bare-knuckle guard, since I am bare-knuckle here after all

I expect to bulk up.. I start next week (again), Been inactive for 8 months (!). But no time weight training on the side. Boxing will have to do.

You want to jab manlets or are you aiming for the chest? I would practice aiming for the face, so aim a little higher. Or at least switch it up a bit. Aim high and low, for opponents of various heights.

Put different targets on your bag so it gives you a better target to aim for and you can develop your accuracy better. Anf if you hang your bag up, it will move around so your accuracy and coordination will improve a lot more too.

Have you ever sparred with a boxer with at least 50%? I here don't ask put videos, just answer.
You wish to learn for competing in boxing?

Not a bad jab though, bud.

I will give you one thing you did look fast in that clip but I don’t think that means much.

I’ve seen plenty of guys look great on pads and then slow AF when sparring.

You yourself said pad and bag work isn’t a good judge of a fighter.

I’d say shadow boxing is a standard of proof below pad work.

There are plenty of guys who look like a killer sparring in the gym who can’t take it to competition.

I’ve never heard of a coach or trainer getting excited about a fighter based solely on their performance during shadow boxing.

spacetime´s threads are allways hilarious !
but ive got to hand it to him as he does possess a remarkable quality, his willingness to humiliate himself ... you cant teach that.

He deleted the videos due to being chastised I assume. But if it’s anything from watching previous space time videos and reading the comments it’s basically that he’s trying to throw way too fast without ever having gotten proper reps in at a slower pace.

Relax and throw slower and smoother instead of as fast as possible

Spacetime, from what I've read of you on these forums, you are dragging combat conversations back to a time when claims were easily made of what style of what would beat what style of what, without proof ever being offered.

Live combat settles those arguments. You can post videos all day long that espouse your non conventional methods as being superior, but the proof is in the pudding dude.

Your techniques are so far removed from what anyone would call good, that for any person who has a modicum of training at even a half way decent gym to entertain them as being effective, you are going to have to take the next step and show them in action.

Anything else is either trolling or Asperger.

Not a bad jab though, bud.

This one is straight down the pipe and high section. Watched Lennox Lewis's instructional and got inspired. He bashed exactly what I was doing which was bouncing ahead of the jab.. It's just telegraphed garbage. Will never do so again.

Even @Sinister can't fault this one.. I think.

You took down the moving video before I could get a look.

It doesn’t appear to be straight down the pipe as you are not throwing it straight.. also once again you got telegraphs, twitchographs. Which seem useless because if they are supposed to be fakes then they aren’t very good as the scenario seems unrealistic that you will have a static moment of just standing and trying to fake someone into a jab. Also the jab looks pretty week not a lot anything inside of it.
This all speculation of course need to see it battle tested and thrown with conviction.
