Crime Someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania

@Bojka
I think Crooks' was using plain iron sights. Seems like the guy was not a very good shot - at the range. Imagine the adrenaline at the top of that roof. Just how hot was it to be in the prone in a metal roof during a hot day?

Honestly don't give a fuck about the shooter.

There's probably multitudes of crazies on both sides who would take a shot at Biden, Kamala and Trump...

There's ongoing threats all the time.

This is a story of the complete failure of Secret Service... and that full story is yet to be told and we may never get to hear it since the FBI is conducting the investigation.

Perhaps the Secret Service has always been inadequate and we've all just had the perception they were this bastion of professionalism and efficiency this whole time.

I mean the DEI policies have been here for a while. Maybe people simply haven't tried to kill politicians is why we don't see more.

Karl Ericson, retired Sergeant Major. Sniper with the 5th Special Forces Group - U.S. Army.

Counter sniper team rifle: KAC SR-25 rifle chambered for .308 Winchester. This was the rifle and round that killed Crooks. Shot to the head by sniper from team #2 on the South side of the stands. One shot = one kill. A scope was used for the shot. You can see the results the bullet made to Crooks' head, but I am not going to post it here.

nullification is a motherfucker.

the right has been nullified just like those two cans @Jack V Savage and @Darkballs where no matter what they say they can never be taken seriously.

in the case of right wing media, they got nullified not for the contents of their messaging but because of leftist political warfare and propaganda (ie. the right is evil, dumb, or crazy and you can never take them seriously!).

in the case of those two cans, they deserved because they pushed lies.

so things like viewership and numbers don't matter if your voice means nothing.
I disagree, I like @Darkballs and like @Jack V Savage enough to get in discussions with them. It's more on the Mandy Crap, Shickdance, poon goon and the two dumb mods.

Agreed.

Many are saying 'At 130 yards with an AR-15 it was an easy shot' haven't aimed at a head-shaped target with only iron sights at that distance.

And he was confronted by a policeman who climbed onto the roof moments before, which the policeman climbed back down, so he knew his time was limited.

Wouldn't be surprised if his heartrate was 150+ BPM when he pulled the trigger.... emphasis on pulled because I doubt he didn't have the training to know to gently squeeze the trigger. In fact that's probably what saved Trump's life because trigger squeeze mistakes typically make the round narrowly veer off to the left or right.

Hate to say this, but it was both a lucky shot... and a very unlucky shot.

To be fair that's a CT put on for folks who have and will probably never ever ever fire a gun in their lives, much less the trauma inducing AR, so if someone dangles the bait that Bad Orange Man did this for sympathy to an already hater with zero firearm experience...

And to show I'm not shitting on one side more than the other, the "multiple shooter/SS Director/deep state/one world govt was in on it to silence Trump" crowd with their multiple shooters/patsy/grassy knoll/agent theories are just as gullible for whatever fits their narrative.

Me, I seen enough in my time to boil it down to a straight govt shitshow of mismanagement

Agreed. The question for me is whether the lack of good management was intentional or not.

It's pretty easy to imagine one might be pretty sure assassination might be attempted at some point, that's why there is security. If you pull back that security you make it more likely an attempt is successful and annoying Orange man is gone.

It's already been stated this was the "C" team at best, supplemented by Homeland agents who are not SS Protective detail. Wondering if the incident commander was also not the best and brightest.

It was definitely intentional in that, the best teams are going to be assigned to officials and the families of officials currently in government.

Im guessing aiming center mass and missing more as opposed to just barely missing on a head shot.

No, the President is a lot more important than not the President.
they don't just protect the president.......you put "officials and the families of officials currently in government" above the presidential nominee in terms of priority of protection. not just the sitting president.

Yes, that was to demonstrate the point how officials with duties running the state are more important to the function of the government than people not doing that.

how low does a former president and current presidential nominee at large public outdoor rallies rank compared to other officials and their families?

c'mon bro. the risk and impact should play a role in quality of security detail.

Likely below the sitting President, Vice President, and others in the chain of command and succession and their families.
