That's Hillary Clinton shit... (she didn't get into trouble either tho... lol)

Also, there will be communications revealed eventually about Trump's security team asking for resources and being denied by Secret Service.

Don't think this whole situation is over. There may be more parties inside SS at risk as well.

we should be honest on both sides. the democrats were in a hard place. the primaries happened already. they can't just hold a new set. but they DO have to decide on a candidate, as the "winner" of the primaries has dropped out.

the primary elections are supposed to be where the candidate is decided. not by appointment.

again, i get that it's not an easy thing to deal with, and the dems did bring them upon themselves in a way. but harris is not the nominee because the constituents voted her to be the nominee, and we don't know if she would have emerged through a competitive process.

That doesn’t mean they won’t vote for her in the general against Trump. But the democrats didn’t go through a voting process to put her at the top of the ticket. She was anointed.

i'd hold out on the 3rd party communication on personal phone until we know more about how standard that practice is, whether the prior director used similar communication under trump, etc.

the person questioning her likely isn't versed on the SS handbook.

on the surface though it's not a great look.

of course, as i've said, there's a decent chance the executive branch that this rolls up under will be headed by the target of the assassination attempt. if nothing happens under him, we'll know there's nothing more there............

The winner of the primary already has a successor in place. The VP's role is to succeed the President. It's baked into his candidacy.

The successor to the presidency is defined by the constitution. Not true for primaries. there’s no constitutionally defined successor to a primary winner.

The primary already happened and Biden -Harris was selected and Harris now has support of the elected delegates. It doesn't have to be defined further in the constitution, the delegates choose Harris.

but not because the vp is an automatic successor. it's completely different situation than a vp succeeding a sitting president.

they would have been perfectly within their rights to have a convention and have delegates select someone else.
