I used to say, loudly, that 2016 was unsurpassable in terms of election insanity. I was wrong.

2024 has had a sitting president receive calls to back out less than 4 months before the election by his own party and his opponent just narrowly escaped assassination!

Well, 2028 will have to have two new candidates (unless the what should be unthinkable happens).

I am very cautiously optimistic that some degree of decency and honesty can return and things won't be another circus.
