I thought this was a pretty interesting interview.

They talk budget - the Fight Nights event we are going to see is going to cost 5 million dollars.
Vadim never held such expensive events, which is why Fedor ended up fighting at Fight Nights.
M1 Global events tend to cost 400-500 thousand dollars. Though the events he held with Fedor's participation were more costly - Vadim doesn't say exact figure, but it was substantially less than the 3 million dollar figure thrown by the interviewer (could be a bit over a mill, I'm guessing?)

Vadim was much better than that POS Gary Millen.

By the way, according to Magomedov, Vadim doesn't use his money to stage events, but he rather seeks sponsors. Magomedov is using his own money -

Magomedov, it should be noted, is one of the Russian oligarchs with a shady political connections. (as per link at the bottom)
This makes me think that Vadim might well be right in saying that this event won't make its money back - thus, one has to wonder if Magomedov is seeking Putin's approval (he had close ties to Medvedev and profited greatly from that relationship, but things started to go sour once Putin returned to presidency), which would explain his purchase of a MMA promotion that's losing money and staging events which are bound to lose money due to extreme costs. After all, Magomedov has investments in different fields - and with Putin's blessings, he can easily recover his losses in no time.
