A fighter or someone trained long enough knows when his punching increases ,when you actually hit heavier things it conditions your body to absorb more thudding power bc it has to withstand a harder impact when you are actually hitting something as hard as you can in spots , Marciano developed his power on 2/3 hundred pound bags whatever it was that’s why he hit as hard as he did plus genetics on his 185 pound fight weight for his time .
Genetics help a lot it’s a big advantage as well , you can train to hit hard if you know what your doing but genetically being a hard puncher is a huge difference, My father hit like a truck at only 140 back in his day he was 19 and 1 , my own son weighs about 145 now and he hits like a Cruiserweight and he’s never even hit a heavy bag yet the oic below is my father knocking someone out with a left hook , I’m bringing this up bc your asking me how do I know ?
I’ve been training since my late teens ,if you’ve ever fought bf and knocked someone out your going to know what and how your punching gets better bc you’ve done it bf and punching becomes second nature ,my family were fighters even on my moms side some were marine boxing champions , genetically punching came easy to me though I worked hard on that specific aspect .
