When ya can list a mile long of NFLers who ran faster than 10.36 and DK Metcalfe, trust me he;s nothing at all when talking fast NFLers. Obviously the fastest in soccer or rugby but not in the NFL.
Why do you keep talking about things you OBVIOUSLY know nothing about?
Fill in these lanes with 8 fast soccer.rugbyites past or present.

You can't do it can ya. I can list two 8 lane races just using the Raiders. Hell, maybe three,
what can you show. i mean sme college times that were never recorded in offical olympics trils.so means nothing cppuld be 100yards instead of 100 meters.tyreek does not want to run aginst track guy so he does not get embarased he does not want to run 100meter he wants something else so he can be seen as fast.i do not like stats but would love sometimes to clock the speed of soccer or rugby guys running full speed on grass to seeestimates if they would train from being kids how fst would they be

Here in the USA up until 1976 we ran the 100 yard dash, the rest of the world were running the 100m, the Olympics were a 100m, ok ya with me?
So we have a whole gang of old NFLers who ran the 100 yards, only the very elitle ran meters like Bob Hayes. He held the world record in both.
Look guy, I am first and foremost a track geek, I keep up with the history of it all, talking pre1900, trust me when it comes to speed no ball sports comes anywhere remotely close to football. The sport is perfect fot fast guys who don't want to just kick a ball around or be tackling anyone, they want to run.
I'll give both soccer and rugby the nod when it comes to that cardio, but when talking speed it's never been and never will be remoely close, NFLers being FAR faster.
Stop ignoring...........Olympians, world rankers, world record holders......in NFL football, none of that in soccer/rugby.
Cool this....well they coulda they shoulda, if only.......bottom line they are...........SLOW~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The big deal wtth soccer is ordinary folks can play and have fun wit it. This sport doesn't need the great athlete, that Olympic sprinte simply not needed. Little 150 pounders with average everything can thrive.

100 yards dash is 98 meters or so on lol that i why you do not show olympic records because track does not recognize 100 yars dash because it is shorter then 100 meter dash lol you got uncovered.lol so that is why there isn all these records you talk about nfl broke because olympic commity does not validate 100 yard dash as 100 meter dash

Guessing soccer is more about having payed the game and can identify with the action. Unless you are a former player trying to watch a game is a total.......yawn.
No ball sport has the most physically unimposing athletes.

You can't be this fake talking about nfl players like they are 100m dash winners while they are 100 yard dash winners BIG DIFERENCE and soccer and rugby are faster

tell me there is a olympics medal records online and everybodies time but you can not find nothing because or it is college record or high school record or what ever soccer anf rugby players are faster then nfl player yet they have completley different training regiment for these two sports. i mean guy in dk matcafl heat was semi pro seoccer player who just started to train track specific regiments and exercies and he beat him

I stopped watching futebol long ago. When I was a kid I would get mad with the guys faking pain and rolling around.. those guys were few and could be counted on a hand (I hated Ariel Ortega).
With time it become more prevalent, in mind I call it the "Neymarization" of futebol, He probably isnt the guy to blame, but he's kind of the poster child of it... plus he being a diva and kids loving him like he was the second coming of Pele, definitely influenced generations. He also always choke on the big stage.
About the speed thing. NFL has better athletes... but a simple asking about the fastest in chatgpt:
Sure! Let's directly compare the top speeds of the fastest football (soccer) and American football (NFL) players as of 2025:
Top Speeds – Football (Soccer)

PSG / France
38.0 km/h (23.6 mph)
Micky van de Ven
Tottenham / Netherlands

Kyle Walker
Man City / England
37.31 km/h (23.2 mph)
Karim Adeyemi
Dortmund / Germany
36.65 km/h (22.8 mph)
Ricky-Jade Jones

35.9 km/h (22.3 mph)
Top Speeds – NFL (American Football)

Tyreek Hill

22.01 mph (35.4 km/h)
Devon Achane
Miami Dolphins
21.93 mph (35.3 km/h)
Soccer's fastest players are slightly faster overall.
Mbappé leads the pack across both sports with 38.0 km/h (23.6 mph).
NFL players tend to cluster just below 36 km/h, while top soccer players break past that mark.
In soccer, speed often comes from sprinting during long chases or counterattacks.
In the NFL, speed is usually recorded during bursts with the ball in hand (and defenders chasing hard), so it’s more about acceleration and quick cuts than top-end sprinting over distance.
Top soccer players are slightly faster at maximum sprint speeds.
NFL players carry more weight (pads, helmets) and usually reach top speeds over shorter distances.
The types of sprinting differ: soccer involves longer sprints at sustained speed, while NFL sprints are quick bursts from a standstill.
Dunno why OP puts so much stock in how many ex-sprinters played a sport.
The reason American football has lots is pretty simple, the speed positions pretty much amount to running routes or covering/chasing down another fast guy. Yes there are nuances and intricacies as you go up the levels but any way you look at it the players have pretty one dimensional skillsets compared to most other sports. Being a sprinter in soccer isnt going to matter much if you cant also dribble, pass and shoot to advanced levels.
