So why is Bendo so boring to watch?

Bendo is fairly exciting, I never understood the hate

His last fight was boring, but generally I think his fights are pretty exciting. His first fight with Cerrone was one of the best fights I can remember seeing.

His first bout with Cerrone was epic, but I felt more so because of Cerrone putting a beating on him in the final rounds and throwing up an arsenal of submission chains. Credit to Bendo for his insane submission defense and the fact that ability to take a hit.

Anyway, if you find Henderson boring, all I can say is that he's pretty much excellent in all aspects of the martial arts and that he will engage anywhere with his opponent, generally. Sometimes it's awesome and sometimes less so.

He is not.... boring: he pushes the pace and i like most of his fights(last one was boring only)

People hate him for all sorts of reasons. The fact that he's an outspoken Christian really pisses Sherdog off. Also that he's beat a lot of people's favourite fighters in controversial decisions also hurts.

He's had some incredible fights, and some mediocre fights, pretty much like most fighters who compete at the top level. To point him out as being especially boring just smells of hatred. When fighters of equal skill level compete it's often not as exciting.

He's boring because it's blatantly obvious he doesnt even try. He's like a poor man's GSP. He also said he will surpass Anderson Silva in UFC title defenses. Sure.

Only time he looked exciting is against Nate which he outmuscled by a wide margin, and he didn't even finish.

He has no power, and he doesn't brawl. So the threat of the KO isn't really there, and sometimes we all have our inner "JUST BLEED" fan seep out a bit.

I don't find him boring as a fighter... maybe a tad lame personality wise?

People associate someone who goes to decision a lot with boring.

Most of the time his fights are entertaining.

He's not boring actually.

Because no matter how great his fight is, you know he is going to derp it up on the mic afterwards.

He point fights and doesn't take risks.

Cause you know what you're getting when you watch Bendo -- a 3 round close decision every time.

Not boring.
But that constant hair brushing is annoying.

I question anyone who watches MMA and calls the man boring to watch.

Bendo suffers from GSP syndrome in that most of his fights, the average fight fan can see that he is better than his opponent by about 1-2 rounds into the fight, but somehow it leads to decisions instead of a brutal finish in most cases.

For me, watching a specialist control where the match takes place is 'exciting', but for most fight fans, a finish is what they tune in for.

That's well said, I agree. I'm a purist, if you can't get off the fence, off the ground, or get inside, that's on you. When GSP laid on guys, I thought it was hilarious, if it was easy to do everyone would do it.
