Every animal living in the forest leaves physical traces of its presence, such as scat, fur, feathers, etc. No such evidence for Bigfoot has ever been found.

Do footprints count? There were footprints from the river all the way up the hill. And apparently they were all spaced properly with proper depth for the height and weight. Meaning to do that with a foot shaped press and maintain that would be very difficult if not impossible. Plus, there were no other tracks around (ir the footprints of the men making the fake prints)

Maybe its shit and fur were confused with bear shit and fur?

It’s already been done with like human dna which means inconclusive no known samples to match with an existing official recognized species so it would be kind of pointless unless you get an actual Bigfoot which I know the government has ,some of these guys the more vicious ones lurk in caves Red haired ones and more wolf like species ( beast of bray road ) are out there I thought it b.s to I knew big foot creatures existed but thought they faded out by the 80”s I couldn’t have been more wrong .

DNA testing of the bear scat and fur would show it's an ursine or of the ursine family.

If the scat and fur were from a Bigfoot, DNA testing would prove it's not ursine in origin.

I must admit, the appearance of the toes curling up slightly before the foot lands is fairly compelling.

When one considers that with the size of the foot seen in other frames, it's hard to understand how this could be faked... and how someone could walk so smoothly over a creek-bed with huge fake feet on.

The primary motive was money yes. They were a couple absolute dirt poor hicks. Thing is, they never profited much. I know for a fact Horonimus held resentment for a long time for the get rich scheme failing. I can speak more for Horonimus' point of view, my old man roofed with him for years. There is just as much money in the documentaries about how it was faked, and people tell stories all the time that are not-so-true.

The film is compelling, the attempts to recreate it have looked very silly. It's very unlikely that it's real, but it's strange that in this case the closer you look the realer it looks, which is the opposite of just about every other fake I can think of.
