He had great run, some amazing fights and decisions against fighters his generation (Gus/Santos/Reyes), beat old generation soundly... all good, but far from GOAT status with cheating and ducking.

It don't matter if he beats him in 1 second or Tom knocks him out in 1 second. There is no reason the duck crowned HW Champ should not fight the interim champ. Otherwise the ufc needs to quit handing out all these fake ass belts. There was no reason whatsoever for Jon to fight Stipe instead of Tom. Tom was interim champ in Nov 23. Defended his interim belt against Blades in July of 24. Jon then fought Stipe as the HW champ in Nov of 24, 4 months after Tom just defended. Hell Blades would beat Jon since Blades only loses to heavy punchers at HW, which ducks do not have heavy hands (which is just like a hardcore proven fact).

No reason not to have a unification, which should have been the only fight to happen once Jon got over his ducking injury. Other wise, Jon should have been stripped of the belt, Tom crowned the HW champ, and then let Jon fight retired fighters in the nursing home parking lot.
