Yes, I think most people are aware that African American's genes are diluted. I was responding to the poser on his question regarding how a person's race is perceived, which is almost dependent on their looks. The black genes are strong, which is why most half mixed black people identify as black. Others, like many half asians are seen as White. Example, Oliva Munn, Chloe Wang (Benett) from Agents of Shield are half Asian and people almost think it's ridiculous to call them Asian. (Though I can tell Chloe was Asian when I first saw her on TV).

sometimes they will say white(hispanic), but for the most part, criminals are considered black or white

some places you can get race separated by white, black and Hispanic, with Asian as well.

I wouldn't say that. They just don't consider "Hispanic" to be a race. If you look at some latin countries, you will find multiple races living there. So both a black or white person from Cuba would be considered Hispanic.

Census usually asks for race, and then has a followup question asking if you are Hispanic or not.
