Smilin Sam Alvey vs Robelis Despaigne Karate Combat Dec 5th

Robelis is unstoppable in Karate Combat.

Robelis going to sleep. Only reason Sam ever lost in MMA is that his opponents would panic wrestle. If he had done kickboxing instead of mma he’d currently be undefeated in Glory.
Jesus you can't be serious ?

Tyron Spong was retired and out of shape. It's a gimmick win.

Sam can't beat 1 person in Glory. Not sure he could see a decision vs anyone there.

"Oh Cummon.... JEYSUS!" 🤣

They pulled the ref straight out of one of those "Lethway" fights on the Thailand border, didn't check the eyes or balance after he was out

Must've been hosted on some Indian reservation, I like KC

I feel for his family after this. This man has taken way too much head damage for one life.

What weight class is this? Robelis looked 2 weight classes bigger.

Absolutely atrocious reffing

WTF was that reffing?

1. Legit some of the worst officiating I have ever seen

2. How did I not know that karate combat took place in the yamma pit, lmao

Holy shit that is AWFUL refereeing.

Dude needs to watch that back and ask himself if refereeing is for him, but if he doesn't, I can assure him personally that no, it's not.

What is the governing authority for this event? Could the referee or promotion be sanctioned?

So, directly from Sam himself, he said he talked to the ref prior to the fight and said it was his wish to be given any possible chance to recover and that he was willing to take a beating or "go out on his shield"

He had no shield left, which is pretty much the issue.

Good for Sam I guess but the fighters shouldn't be making the rules, they should already be clearly established. Way too many guys too tough for their own good.

We just witnessed the biggest upset in Karate history.

That ref must be Mirgliotta's nephew or something.

Exactly. Refs should not be talking to fighters before fights about anything but questions about the rules
