Skyrim Special Edition

If you're just a casual player, you don't really need Special edition. I recommend you try it anyway, you'll see the difference and you're free to remove it anytime you want.

Also, those are nice simple tunes you got on your channel. Gotta love simplicity when it's done well.

Thanks, man. Really appreciate it.

Pleasure is all mine, I like to relax with music and yours is soothing. Simplicity is magic.

Normally wouldn't touch smithing or enchanting, but decided to fuck with them this playthrough and shit pays. Got dat legendary gear and I'm like prime Fedor or some shit

I don't know how this could happen. Please be more specific or kill that asshole once and for all!

Damn! You're the Cat with the crazy armor? That's nasty, high level crafting I suppose. I never seen that specific armor, it's boss. And isn't that Lydia behind you, trying to block your only escape route? Remember to Fus-Ro-da her out of the way if you need a fast escape!

Keep it up and find the perfect balance between being overpowered and having fun!

It's a kind of glass armour included in the Immersive Armours mod, which I recommend bro

Thanks. It's on my list but I'm on Skyrim break until the 7th! I'm definitely moving from Fallout 4 back to Skyrim so I'm just dusting things and saving profiles.

I manage up to 10 Fallout4 characters and now, 5 Skyrim since relaunch. This is just a hobby so yep.

It's miraabek from solstheim. did a few quests there than gtfo cause it's pretty hostile. fuckin dragon every 2 mins. we're bears fucked me up too. every few dragon souls and he'll pop up and steal/absorb one. gotta finish those quests I guess

I know Maraabek but I only flew by Solstein since Special Edition. It's been years since I dug there. I did quests for him but it's vague, good luck recovering your stolen soul gems.

Werebear are awesome! Don't be fooled @mooshy : they're very rare and ultra powerful! They're not only "stronger werewolf", they're just nasty:

If you have the time and love werebears, do the Cleansing the stones quest and you'll get a special surprise! Focus on the Bear stone for your surprise...

I don't think Skyrim is a good game for such a young child. There's a lot of reading to do and a lot of lore to learn. Just the name of the spells are things children are not used to: Equilibrium, Transmutation, Reanimate Dead, etc. Even the shout names: Unrelenting Force is the basic shout but it's a hard word for a child!

There are so many games better suited for children, I would wait a little while before pushing my child in the "deep end"...

So I bought my 7 year old niece Skyrim and she is hooked. We played a few hours together so I was able to teach her the basics. I went to her house 2 days later and she's leveled up to level 10. She has countless weapons and a house where she stores all her stuff because of the weight limit. She bought a horse and is exploring the whole map.

I taught her how to play minecraft when she was 2. Crazy stuff. I recorded her playing super metroid, just cause, minecraft, etc when she was 2-3. I need to find those vids and post them.

That's beautiful. I made the initial comment with a common child in mind. If your niece has an open mind and facility to learn, go ahead! As a curious child with minecraft experience at 7, she's definitely ready for Skyrim if she likes to read.

Skyrim is a great gift. Let her explore on her own but don't be afraid to point out the good stuff if you can. I bet she'll be showing you secrets in no time. Have fun!

It's crazy. At 7 I was exploring Hyrule (original Zelda) and my mind was blown. I can't even imagine how today's kids feel when they play games like skyrim or dark souls.

I had my niece play dark souls 3 at the age of 6 and she got ruffed up big time but she actually made decent progress. Never quit and kept trying. I think she will be able to beat it when she is 9-10.

Hyrule! I haven't heard that name in ages. I was a little older when it came out. From the start, I was a PC Master race guy. I was playing Pool of Radiance and Champions of Krynn on Commodore 64:

All AD&D games from the dawn of time. They knew how to sell a game to teens back then:

Skyrim is a return to those times X 1000 for me...

I'm downloading this shit now. I played the original Skyrim a while back. What's the difference between this and the old one besides graphics?

In a nutshell:

-Graphics are more "natural" than old environmental mods. It's a question of taste really.

-Mods are now nearly all updated and available. If not, they're replaced by better versions.

-Entire content is available: every DLC included in one Special Edition package.

Downside:

Original game is still more popular. Some people want to play their old powerful characters, not start new ones from scratch. Needs a powerful machine if played on max settings.

I was not focusing on werebears for nothing. Look at what Fudgmuppet have been cooking for us during the holidays! 7 were creatures: 1 for each day between X-mas and 2017! Take a look:

Yep. IMO it was a bad move from the developpers, not to be able to transfer the original characters.

If I could take my awesome level 54 wooden Elf archer with me I would already be playing the new edition. But I am not starting all over from scratch. Ain't nobody got time for those shitty quests under the earth all over again.

I agree. Keep in mind that Skyrim has a massive hardcore community. A lot of guys like me manage multiple characters. I have a dozen on Vanilla Skyrim, already 5 in Special Edition.

For me, building a character, driving it trough the Dragon Stone quest and making it to Unrelenting Force is a matter of hours. 3-4 at most. After that, I can put the character on ice and start a new one.

Anytime I want, I can pick a character, easily identifiable (for me) by name and just decide to play! I choose my path depending on the build and backstory I created. For example, a Khajiit will not enter the city that much but an Imperial will only feel at home in cities. The Khajit will build his house in the wild, the Imperial owns a house in every city. Etc.

Fun for hundreds of hours!

LOL - I can't remember when I had enough free time to dedicate to gaming...

I think I remember being poor as well, but also happy and stress free.

That's my life. Not poor but only because I restrain my spending to a minimum. For example, I'm able to make enough "internet money" to pay for my weed. I would never say "I work on the internet", neither would I try to seriously work on the internet. The various minuscule income I make online pay for my gaming fuel: weed.

Weed is a good tool to go through storylines, dialogues and pivotal events in Skyrim. I know because Skyrim / Fallout are my main hobby and weed is the fuel I use to enjoy it. I rarely smoke outside of that, except in parties!
