Thanks for your work ITT @Metal_Daze. I have hundreds of hours in Skyrim but you're teaching me a ton of new shit
Quick advice for summons: choose wisely what you're summoning. Summon creatures depending on situations and don't always focus on damage. Flame atronach are perfect against Trolls and frost creatures. Frost atronach are perfect to block a narrow corridor and trap your enemies there. Always analyse the situation and choose your summon wisely.Never played Skyrim before. Just loaded up the SE for PC. Very nice I must say. Thank you to everyone for the helpful tips. Starting a Brenton Summoner, though I heard the Summons AI isn't all that great... I'm just always a Necromancer in every game if I can be.
Yeah they all have different personalities. Not much dialogue but it's enough to drive you crazy after a while. My second playthrough I married Jordis. Much nicer and a sweet voice.huh. so different women will treat you differently as wife? I am gonna have to marry someone with a mean attitude next time. Married Ysolda from Whiterun. She's sweetest wife. And she does trade so everytime I come back I can sell off the surplus I don't need. I still think she's cheating on me with the bard... or bards..
Spot on! Do a little "crafting spree" just to get yourself started. You wont be able to do it all if you're early in the game. Just level up enough to be able to cast your spells. Remember to favor Magika when you level up but don't forget health. 2 for 1 is a good ratio since you won't need stamina. Just put points in magika until you have enough to cast everything but put 1 point in health each 3 levels (for survivability). Then switch and favor Health when you're sure you have enough Magika. Keep boosting it if you really want to enjoy constant spells but don't neglect Health.Awesome. Just got to the first town. I take it leveling alchemy (potion's etc) and enchant(?) Would be the way to go? Basically using Summons to catch aggro than using Destruction spells to DPS.

The vampire quest doesn't really impact the other quests. Feel free to join or fight them, you get a different reward for both choices. The difference between Stormcloak and Legion resides in which city you're gonna attack. Read the Skyrim wiki, I don't remember which side attacks which city.Hey thanks for the tips guys, that Plate glitch worked and i went through the wall at the Castle!
Question : should i join that vampire crew at the Castle? I still havent joined Imperial Legion, Stormcloaks, or rebeliion. Im actually confused and don't want to mess up like in Fallout i hated joining the Institution. I know you're supposed to play this game more than once, but this will be my only play through probably.

As for Vampires, If you're not a hardcore player, I would advise you to fight them. Playing a vampire can be tricky if you're not sure what your doing. Fire will burn you easily, you need to raise your fire protection and avoid the Sun. There are Vampire unique perks that you must choose and examine too. That's a lot of hassle for a casual player.
My advice? Fight them but make a hard save before you choose so you can come back and choose the other option if you want!
If you like the Breton magic resistance, don't forget their Unique power: Dragonskin. It is located in the POWER menu. When you select it, it replaces your shout and you use it with the same button. If I remember correctly, you can only use it once a day.Awesome thanks. Gonna probably play like 5 or 6 hours tonight. Thank god for holiday work hours coming up also. I'm still using the Balrog Mace or whatever with shield. I learned how to block pretty well. I actually think the Melee is just as good as Fallout and the game looks better than Fallout for sure. Im learning a few magics and shouts. I like the magic where you can lower their armor, I have that as a favorite. Thank god my Breton guy has magic resistance because im encountering a lot of magic enemies. The only one that's killing me bad is FLAME. I'm scared of the Dragons also.
It is perfect when you meet a party of mages. Turn it on and you'll have a whole minute to kill them before they can harm you! Fort Amol is a good place to try it: lots of mages over there. You can also find the Bound Bow spell there, I advise you to stop when you're nearby.Ya I was wondering what that dragon skin was! I'm gonna try it for sure.
You should have taken a screenshot. I remember that place but I never purposely looked East. There are so many nice views in Skyrim, beautiful screenshots are the norm, not the exception:Found a,cool view I've never seen before today. Facing east from Bleak wind Bluff you can see Whiterun and Solitude.
Is there any advantage for PC players playing the special edition over the old one? I know none of the old mods work on the new edition.

Came to ask this also. Specifically, if you already have it looking straight gorgeous with mods, is there anything at all that makes the SE worth getting.
If you're just a casual player, you don't really need Special edition. I recommend you try it anyway, you'll see the difference and you're free to remove it anytime you want.I bought the ultimate edition or whatever two years ago during that steam winter sale, only put a few hours into it. Was kinda surprised to see they gave me the special edition for free. Haven't loaded it up yet.
