Skyrim Special Edition

The most striking improvement is the LOD. There's still some ugliness in the distance, but the difference is pretty significant. Flora is so much more lush, too.

Aside from character faces still being ugly, everything else has seen an improvement and the game runs a lot smoother without any of Bethesda's trademark stuttering. Simply having a version of the game(shitty engine that it is) being able to utilize the hardware more effectively is an improvement, even if you have a machine that can't handle all the new graphics enhancements.

It's not all good though, as Bethesda thought it would be a good idea to not release the creation kit just yet even though the main selling point for the game is mods, and especially for PS4 and Xbone users who are now able to make use of mods for their playthroughs. Some modders are still able to update their mods for the special edition, but with reduced functionality with regards to compatibility and we'll have to wait until the the CK is released before we can use important mods.

Edit - Looks like it's coming out in a couple of weeks. Not too bad.

Here i was complaining about the price but still bought it day one <36>


I'm loving playing it all again, i'm almost finished with the Mage's guild questline, after that i might head to Dawngard for Serana although my level is probably too low right now

Girl, i'm getting ripped off over here in Ireland too, i paid 59 quid for this. Considering i have nothing else to play it was still worth it i suppose

im finding it a bit weird. like youre meant to hold onto the trigger for longer to cast it and then release. but there doesnt seem to be a set time for it or a visual indication for when it can be released. its fucking me over

Yeah, i got it for the Xbox One, i got it digital though so maybe if i had bought it from Ebay or such i could have found a better price. Still, most stores here were selling it for that price, i believe Gamestop had it for preorder for like 70 euros, lol bye

I didn't get nothing! I mean, shit, for that price i'd take a mask or something just to feel good about myself for paying that much for an old game. I need to start doing like you and just order it from Amazon, smh <{hmmm}>

Loving the game all over again. The vibrant colors go a long way in this remaster. Things are so much livelier.

I really hated the way I played it the first time in 2011. I went to EVERY area I came across and wouldn't stop until I cleared everything. It made for a very disjointed experience and I burned out.

This time I'm basically sticking to missions and focusing on about 5 skills to master. The playthrough is going so much better.

After playing this again it kind of illuminates how Bethesda kind of mailed it in with FO4 in some ways.
 
@MmaGirl10 £59 for a digital version? Dam thats extortionate! I though the Sony digital prices could be bad at times

@frenzy was that the pre order price? Its upto £34 on there now. How is it looking on the PS4, i keep thinking about getting it but i have a backlog of games i should get through first for my PS3 and PS4

no idea tbh, i thought it was the same price on game and that's £35 now. still, it's not nearly £60 lol

I'm really loving it dude. Looks like a 2016 game.
