Skyrim Special Edition

Was on the fence, urge of mods took over and I paid the damn 60.

Loaded like 30 mods, lots of cool spell stuff and to make the looting less tiresome. But the ps4 version is reduced to 1 gig. Fuck me, not enough space for quest mods, I think. Sony should up this, as the game runs smoothly.

Bought a house in Whiterun last night... fully upgraded.

Bought a horse too.

Life decisions lol

After visiting the Greybeards I decided to head down south to Riften so I can start the Theives Guild & Dawnguard DLC .

I'm level 32 right now

Riften is probably my favorite city in the game. The people there are corrupt as fuck though lol

Goddamn son, already?!

Well, the Special Edition's target audience are people with 200+ hours. You're at the cutoff, don't be ashamed. I'm close to 400 hours total in Skyrim and I'm definitely playing it once more. It will be fun, there are tons of new builds out there and ways to combine mods to make the game incredibly addictive. Have you tried mod playing? You can add hundreds of spells and abilities when you combine them right!

When there's role-playing opportunities in a HD environment, count me in! It's fun when you know all the map by heart and can experience the subtle differences. For example, you can now see cities from far away when you're outside. You can recognize buildings before even entering the city. It doesn't change the game itself but it adds a lot to the immersion experience.
_____________

Gotta go, my download of Civilization VI is finished at last. It will help me wait until Oct 28, when Skyrim Special Edition comes out!

See, that's precisely my issue. I am level 54 and don't want to start over.

On the other hand my PS3 is unbearable on Skyrim (Skyrim is the only game I play) because it is lagging alot.

I bought a PS3 with Skyrim because I wanted to detach myself from PC and thought that it would be Super NES simple (the last console I played). But the console experience has been horrible so far. Super slow and I read that many people have had PS3 problems with Skyrim. :-(

So I don't know what to do honestly.

If they had allowed the transfer of a saved game from Skyrim onto Skyrim remastered I would have purchased a PS4 without blinking but to start over ? Fuck that shit.

Bought the game and playing it again (never finished it on PC - not even sure what level I was).

So far so good. Did a noob mistake - ran through the first dungeon, almost finished it and died without saving. Had to start over from the beginning and it pissed me off enough for me to take a break. Did it and finished it an hour later after I cooled off.

Trying to be a thief assassin. I have a vague idea on how to do the build. My first run will be without any cheats and helps (besides watching the build vid to see what I need to concentrate on developing). Wanna see how far I get...

The game loads so much faster now I love it. Hardly any load times at all especially with open Cities installed.

The lighting is much better as well. Colors are vibrant.

Overall I'm glad I dropped the 60. Enjoying way more now than I did in 2011

i adopted lucia tonight. already got her sweeping the floors like a good serva..child.
LOL nice, that would explain why that kid says "will you be my daddy" or some shit when I 'm walking past her.

Does anyone know if you had to own all the DLC before this dropped to get it for free? You can get the DLC off some websites for super cheap, and I'm curious if adding it after the release will let me download the game for free.

I've mainly been running around with my old character doing a few side quests I have not finished yet. Level 84 and master of just about everything. It's fun having bandits run up to you and demanding you pay the toll and then backing off a moment later when you say, "Or I could just kill you all."

downloaded like 20 something mods (mainly things like unique houses which are awesome and expansions on cities to add more people, buildings, etc.

you only realy need the right side of the perk tree for sneak, the left side of the perk tree for archery, put perks into light armour bonuses (5) and one handed sword (5). that would be your core.

from there you can then do some crafting, whether it be smithing, or alchemy or enchantments. I'd stay away from smithing as it isn't balanced and you become invincible.

Enchanting ends up being far more powerful then smiting. Smiting can max out your armor rating and give some good damage you are still vulnerable to elemental and magical damage. With enchanting it is really easy to make yourself totally immune to any type of spell and elemental damage. You can also stack fortify one-handed, two-handed, and or archery enchantments to get stupidly high damages.

Of course, why not. You are the Dragonborn after all.

Yes, that was the case. Everything had to be bought and activated on or before last Friday.

Enchanting and alchemy were two things missing from Fallout that made it feel inferior to me. The closest equivalent was making gun mods and that wasn't nearly as complex or rewarding. I do wish everything could be disenchanted, though - although I suppose there really wouldn't be a point to disenchanting a zombie staff as there's really nothing else that could use that enchantment.

Also, to people griping about the price - games like this provide hundreds of hours of gameplay - HUNDREDS. With all the 6-hour campaigns going around nowadays I'm more than happy to pay the $120 to buy a game twice if I'm going to get that much time out of it.
