Having played for 2 hours already, I would say the difference is easily noticeable but not stunning. It's definitely better than high texture but more demanding too. I don't have a good enough PC to judge: Special Edition "defaults" at medium quality while my normal Skyrim defaults at high. I have tried Ultra quality just to see but the difference is not that impressive and there's some FPS drop.Im a bit confused. I have Skyrim plus all the DLC's including high res textures. Bought it when on sale two summers ago on Steam. Is this version better graphically than the default games high res DLC?
Does feel great that i got the Bioshock and Skyrim remastered versions all for free : )

Put in so many hours into this game, but enough time has passed to where I can replay it without the game being stale.
Hope the Mods live up to the hype.
damn im having major issues with nexus mods. Like half the mods i downloaded are having error reports and ican't find any mods at all on steam fml
