Skyrim Special Edition

Why would you ever want to play an Elder scrolls game on console?

because my laptop from the aldi sucks and I am not planning to throw more money at a new PC or laptop.
A console is ok.
You can play all games without having to install all kinds of stuff
It doesn't ages as fast as a PC (face it every pc you buy is dated after 5 years or so)
I still play skyrim but on my PS3

Edit: I bought a pc disk of skyrim, just in case my PS3 once dies.

I'm getting this. I don't care what people do/say/hype.

Thank God, I played the first Skyrim (on 360) like a playground (300+ hours without doing more than 3 main quests or sidequests). I just did my own things which I quickly found can be very time-consuming :P

Now I'll enjoy the SP + DLC + mods in all their glory.

Sometimes having a backlog is a good thing... get to games WAY after the hype and bullshit of other people. Much better experience, IMO.

I too have only played Skyrim on 360 and without any DLC. Not sure on the number of hours but it was a lot compared to my other games.

I now own a PC so I can pick up the Legendary Edition for $10 and get the free upgrade in a few days. That's an amazing deal so I do feel for you console guys that will be paying full price.

Yeah, PC is where it's at (started there, still have more years there than anywhere). Just can't be bothered to tinker with a custom built gaming monster every day (it's addicting and never-ending). Like cars, I can't stop tweaking and modding.

I have wealth (no brag), so I pay full price FOR A REASON. If I pay full price (and hopefully more who are ABLE to do so), the chances that game will be put on a Flash Sale or discounted are slightly improved (from what I've seen).

Basically, the wealthy gamers can buy games full price and allow for price drops (up to 80%) weeks/months later... I think it's a good circle, but obviously stingy/frugal/money-wise people don't always like to burn money ;)

I'm a chump (in a way), but at least I know what I'm doing and I can only hope it's contributing like I hypothesized.

I'm getting this and I'm paying extra for the mask. IDGAF

I want to fuck my girl with that on, while she's sleeping. When she wakes up in a dazed, stupor I'm going to yell "FOOS DO RAH!" as I ejaculate and propel her into the headboard.

Only way to enjoy it, IMO.

can't believe they are actually charging $60 for some better graphics basically lol. One of those times I'm extremely happy to have a pc

Yeah, I truly feel bad for those gamers/completionists who simply can't afford every new game. PC will always reign supreme, for a number of reasons.

This is why I give my stuff to my friends and their kids, if they want it. Everything with games is a ripoff... from releasing unfinished games that you need to purchase DLC in order to get the full experience to micro-transactions.

Game studios are getting more creative/innovative so that's not the problem. The issue is that the marketing department (and those concerned solely about corporate profits) sets stupid deadlines and restricts the quality/size of the games to make sure it "makes the deadline."

How many things were sacrificed from decent/great games because marketing said "not enough time," "not worth it," or "too much work?"

No Man's Sky... lol.

All you PC overlords are weird with your insecurities. Who cares if someone plays it on a console. Having a console is nice if you have friends that come over then you play some shit with them on the couch and drink some beers.

I have a PC and the Xbone, I play games on both.

if you have amazon prime, i think its only like $45 if you buy it before release date.

i gotta say, amazon prime is pretty awesome to have for new games

Yeah, it's strange how people are competing about what device they use for entertainment more than they are USING it for said entertainment. I mean I love PC power, but consoles are GREAT for family, friends, and even small parties.

I was more skilled on PC and loved tweaking things to see how much more juice I could sqeeze. I had some great gaming times, no question, and I will be getting/building a new PC (joint operation with fiance) beginning of next year.

That said, the most fun I've had while gaming is playing on consoles with friends (over beers, shots, hits, whatever works). It can't be beaten. I'm also the type of dude who can watch someone play a game (with skill and proper pace). Providing commentary to rustled friends is also hilarious (they always end up playing worse).

That's what I use. It's excellent for new games. I have been getting random discounts, regularly, every 2 weeks for Amazon prime. 10-15% off, but I have no idea why. I've gotten 8 so far!
