KingMore, 6' actually places you exactly within the A2 range. A3S starts at 6'2. With 6'1 (and a bit) I wonder whether the sleeves of the A2 are long enough. So if you ever buy one (and since you are of the same weight) please let me know how long the sleeves are on you after the first wash.

For me the measurements are very important.

For example I have an Vulkan Pro Light in A3.

The jacket is a little bit to big ( wingspan 172 cm) , but the pants are a little big to short (98 cm).


Last week I bought an cheap Black Eagle Predator in A2. Pants are 102 cm and the jacket has a wingspan of 166, it overall fits perfectly.


My decision to buy a shoyoroll ( try to buy^^) will depend on the measurements nodferatu will tell me. Thank you for that !

I can bet that you will like your Vulcan & Predator gi better than the new SYR gi.

I have 2 SYR gis from back in the day (When they were at best) and my black eagle gi is better in every in aspect, IMO.

Details: It was too big out of the bag, shrinking in the dryer made it perfect and it did not lose much in length, mostly width.

From cuff to cuff laid flat it is 66 inches. From the front of the pants to the leg cuff it is 39 and from the back of the pants to the leg cuff it's 40.5.

I'm 5'11 and 175 and I wear an A2. This is the size Shoyoroll recommended when I asked them. So I would assume an A2 would be best for you also.

So i was told too when I emailed them. But im just worried that the gi will be large for me since some members say syr gi runs abit bigger than most gis and im at the bottom range of the gi suggested weight

How did you wash it ?

Normal at first, then I shrank it down a tad to fit me better. I added an inch to the current measurements I have for it because that's about how much I shrank it all around.

I think A1 should fit you fine. They added a size not change the whole sizing system. I am 5'11" 145lbs and the A1 jacket is the perfect fit and the pants fit pretty well as well since it sometimes come a bit shorter than I'd like. Like an inch shorter than I'd like but you are 5'9" so it should fit you right on. This is if you cold wash and hang dry your gi's. If I were to purchase again I'm going to try to order A1 gi and A1L pants to see if that works better.

Im 5'6" and 143lbs, would an A0 fit me better than an A1? Even after washing?

Reviving this gi from the ashes. Does anyone know if the A1L is wide in width? Or is it basically an A1 with longer sleeves and inseam?

Basically longer. This was from a forever rolls. There is a slight change from each gi depending on how the factory did it but not a lot.

Hi there,

I am 5'8 and 175 lb. Would a size A1 fit me or should I try to shrink and A2? I am usually an A1L however I'm attempting to trade someone that only has an A1 or A2 gi. The gi I want is black if that helps. Please let me know. Thank you
