I've been boxiing, and now my right shoulder hurts badly. It seems to be in the joint. also some of the muscles also hurt. I don't know if i have torn something, or what not. I just need someone to tell me what to do about it. Should I just keep boxing, lifting, etc, or should I simply let it rest. What about ice packs for these sorts of injuries. Please help me. I can't train as hard as i want to because of this, and it's very upsetting.

Inform your coach of the injury. If the pain is sharp rather than soreness, I would recommend stop using your right shoulder as much as possible. Ice it for 36-48 hours, than heat the shit out of it with heating pads and the like. No sense in making the injury worse.

How long have you been boxing? When I first started up again, my shoulders were on fire for a couple of days after hitting the bag. It's just one of those things that takes conditioning to go away. If you've been boxing and now this is happening, you might actually have an injury.
