If anyone's interested in this article, give it a look:

I say why not, the dude has a puncher's chance to beat mostly anyone (KO'd Hunt ffs) and can fit well at 205 or 185. He's also likeable as hell, and I can see a lot of casuals becoming a fan of him whether he wins or loses. A lot of cool match ups for him at MW and LHW (Manuwa, Maldonado, always wanted to see him fight a Hendo or Shogun) so why not?

Does he get paid a ton or something?

Yeah, but I feel like if they really wanted him they would have signed him years ago.

No thank you.
His recent record isn't good.

Your telling me that you can look at the UFC roster and honestly say that his record isn't good enough? Do I really need to show you records of people already in the UFC that have worse records?

Rank him appropriately and there is no reason he shouldn't be.

Of course. Give him some strikers and it would boost any card.

Oh yeah!! and make him fight strikers.....imagine....I'm getting a vision here since Melvin wants to be at 170...

Manhoef vs Daley!!

Why not? Build him up against lesser strikers and sell his kos, he could get a few in and make the UFC some money.

I have wondered the same thing. (Regarding why he wasn't brought over before)

I feel that if Robbie didn't KO him in that fight then we probably would have seen him. Apart from that, I can't think of any other reason.

Mark Hunt's record wasn't good either and that has paid off massively for the UFC.

The fact that Manhoef nearly beat Robbie Lawler already tells you how capable he is.

if he's going to keep doing 170 fights it would make sense...some dope matchups they can make. Will never forget the fight with Lawler.

This should be a no brainer, this guy is exciting as hell to watch fight win or lose. Also saying his record isn't any good? really? so bringing in a guy who is 4-0 like Pat Cummings is a good person to bring into the UFC? give me a break...

has brutal kicks, but no development of their full potential, and will output

Nah, they would only give him wrestlers or submission specialists. Let them bang, Dana!

Anyone know what the Glory payouts are like?

Ratings are pretty good

Been a fan of Melvin for years. I love watching him fight, win or lose.

It would be awesome to see him in the ufc.
