There's a massive difference between lying and murder. Virtually everyone lies at least once over the course of their adult life. The same is not true for murder. The vast majority of people never commit murder. The small minority of people who would agree to commit murder if the opportunity came knocking are dangerous and I think the government serves its people by locking such people up. But trying to get people to tell a lie so that the government can lock them up? How does doing that serve the people?
