Economy Should ENGLISH proficiency be a REQUIREMENT for migrants?

Then clarify your point instead of repeating the idea that you're so misunderstood.

Go on, explain where the confusion and try to not contradict yourself.

This all started because I had an issue with people living here for decades without caring enough to learn a word of English and it being easy because they live in these insular communities. These are citizens we are talking about.

He's switching the goal posts because he realizes how fucking stupid his position of us needing to sign language with one another sounds.
Yeah temporary is a relative term. Obviously if you are talking years and years then yeah. Living in texas obviously I see it a lot. It is easy to isolate with other Spanish speakers and never have to speak english. Learning any language in a country you move to should be an expectation. In certain places in the states though its incredibly easy without it.

I already did doofus and responded to all of it.
Lol you literally responded saying you ignored what I said. But ok bud.
You don't have the ability to illustrate where I went wrong so you're dancing around the request.
Its already been illustrated where you went wrong goofy. Learn. To. Read.

To be a citizen, it is already required to learn English. Others residents dont need this requirement. People can and do make a good living in the States without good English.
Unless they need it for their full citizenship or a specific job, they should not be forced to learn it.

Learning languages is good. It shouldn't be a requirement.

Simple enough for ya?

Feels like America is the only country on the planet where a significant part of the population sees it as nothing more than an economic zone.

no culture, no nothing. just work, in the best case, or an opportunity to leech off at worst.
of course those that have no culture don't have an issue with others with no respect or interest for the culture to keep coming in.

it's from this group you also see the "food is enough culture" argument. it's a retarded, ignorant position, but it's where we are at the moment. reading is hard.
I’ve argued with so many over the incredibly basic concept of national identity. It boggles my mind that people believe that there is no such thing.

people with no culture think like that.
cultural orphans that will burn the village because they don't recognize the need for cultural community.

National identity is a thing. It just isn't the same as National homogeny. Multiculturalism isn't in conflict with having a national identity. Growing up, thats how I saw America. Being a melting pot was part of the identity to me

The question is what do you want the national identity to look like.

Why should I care? People act as if they interact with these different communities on a daily basis. Nine times out of ten unless you work in a public environment you interact with the same people everyday.

These are all things I already touched on previously and I also pointed out the inherent contradiction In your logic.

You're playing stupid now making the distinction between temporary vs permanent immigrant as if you weren't arguing this entire time for these socially isolated ethno-linguistic enclaves that are more or less permanently situated.

Learning languages is good, now apply some consistency where it matters and stop projecting your stupidity onto everyone because you were able to to sign language your empanada order once upon a time.

Lol no you didn't. You just kept responding with strawman arguments that had nothing to do with what I said or "hur dur how do talk with no English "
You're playing stupid
I've been nothing but straightforward. You on the other hand are just being stupid.
apply some consistency
Been consistent this whole time. You'll see that once you let yourself calm down some bud

I have a feeling that I know exactly how this question would be answered by a lot of posters here.

There's nothing indicating im freaking out. Your basically at the point where you have to throw anything and everything at the wall in hopes something sticks.

But let's cut the shit, do YOU think immigrants hoping to become citizens should be forced to learn English? A yes or no will suffice.

It should according to Nobel peace prize winner Barack H. Obama.

I’m glad we agree. Multiculturalism can be a national identity.

My problem was smart asses claiming national identity didn’t exist.

Americas identity is one of accepting those, and integrating those, of different cultures into AMERICAN culture.
