Tk u for rembering

Ok guys, well, it's crazy to say this but it has been 3 years to the day that we lost the GOAT @bigwaverider not sure where that time has gone but here we are.

I thought it would be fitting to bump his thread and maybe we can add a few more shoops into the mix (plenty of templates in the first two posts of this thread if you want to do something) you may be on the other side Mike but you are never forgotten here, brother. Sherdog loves you ❤️

Here are a few words from @carole simmons (Mike's mum); she asked me to post them for her.

I come to you all in thankfulness. 3 years (June 27, 2022) since Bigwaverider (Mike, BWR) has passed to peace. It's been the most daunting time for me and his family. We understand completely that pain is no longer his enemy but miss him terribly. There are moments for me not accepting that he has passed. I visualize stories in my head that he is Sherdoging, eating chicken or surfing. Then reality sticks in its horrific head. My thoughts go to the love that Sherdog has been to Michael and his family. My dear Dogs have taken time to honor Mike with their very creative shooping that brought laughter and tears. I go back often to see postings, there is a comfort in sensing Mike thru art work. Mike has told me many times of his love in creating and helping others on this forum. This has made his days so enjoyable and meaningful. Some people go thru days without any purpose, this is not what Sherdog was to Michael. He adored the whole process of shooping, teaching, gaining friendships. Sending these words with great love to such dedicated people with no faces or names. In the land of shooping close your eyes and feel my hug.

You're not the only one bud. I shed a few today too. Mike's family reached out to me today with an amazing message and it all hit home again. I can't believe it has been 3 years already.

@bigwaverider was the best of Sherdog and even though he isn't here in person, he is with us always.

It's bonkers what those folks do! Some of the huge wave stuff is absolutely insane.

Snowboarder myself from a young age, im now on the coast, I should definitely give it a crack....pretty solid surf scene in Nova Scotia.

Mike used to show me surfing videos all the time and man, I can't believe some of the stuff they do. It gave me anxiety watching it, lol.
