Fun story... I had been shooping greeting cardz for my fam & friendz for years with a cheap program... before being privy to the shoop scene here on teh dog... & @LouisBolanos & MIke got me motivated to learn photoshop.

It has some slight opacity changes at the beginning but the curves layer I used does the heavy lifting, it's basically just matching the luminosity as he walked from the dark into the light. You don't need to do stuff like that frame by frame as you can change the brightness from dark to light over a bunch of frames and it will tween it for you.

You can do it in Photoshop or After Effects.

Yeah, you just use the adjustment layer and set the brightness start point and then the brightness endpoint and it will gradually do it over however many frames you set it to. In PS you would have to use a clipping mask to attach it to the image you want it to affect but in After Effects you would have to do the adjustment layer as an effect on the actual layer you want to change the lighting on.

That one was pretty straight forward but on something that has a lot of light changes (flashing lights, colour changes, e.t.c.) then you would have to get in there and do more adjusting frame by frame.

I've only got one, and it's a small version that I screenshot from one of the shoops on here. I wanted to change the hair on it, but because the hair was behind the glasses I couldn't get it to look right, so I just keep using the one I've got. I have sved this one now though - thanks for posting it.
