The loss hit the forum hard and we all miss him. But @Arqueto @Myrddin Wild @giovanni_ss @lweiberg and countless others deserve a ton of credit for putting this together and keeping it going.

I've been surfing for about 25 years, although medium waves, not big waves like Mike. My first shoop was a shoop I did for Mike when his dad died -it was a shoop of Papa Mir surfing in a barrel. That's the only interaction I had with him, but I did see quite a lot of his shoops before that, and could tell back then how awesome a guy he was. That's the whole reason why I tried shooping a couple of months ago - Mike inspired me. He would be so happy to have been an inspiration like that.
