Shoop SHOOP Dat BIGWAVERIDER R.I.P. Brother

I will also make some tutorials from Mike's work and share some of his advanced techniques. I know he will love it if everyone ups their game from his work as he loved to help people and wouldn't hesitate on making a tutorial for anyone if they were having issues making something happen with their work.

The third thing I will work on will be a Gallery of all of Mike's amazing work so people can enjoy and never forget his genius and contribution to Sherdog.

this is going to be a ton of work and it's already been a ton of work for his Mum to make this happen so it would be cool if we can give her a thanks and show our appreciation. I'll get to work on everything as soon as I can as I'm still a little busy with work and the summer craziness that I always have to deal with. It's all going to be worth it though as all the shoopers here will benefit.

this is great news, massive thanks to you and Mike's Mom !!! fantastic effort all round.

I will, for sure, be reading and listening to some of mike's tutorials. There's always great tips and techniques that us Shoopers can pick up from someone like Mike.

Thank you @Brother Arq for your endless dedication & time, toward continuing teh traditionz that Brother Rider put in teh work to create.

My small part has been a year long study into how teh shoop scene began on teh dog... & honoring those who instigated these hijinx.

From our humble beginnings I'd like to segue into how Mike took it from the place he found it... into the organized system it is today with scheduled contests & teh shoop news list etc....

Teh shoop scene has alwayz been a freeforall but Mike took it from a handful of SOTY contenders (Shooper Of Teh Year) to having to narrow it down to 20 in order to fit everyone into a single thread. That's pretty fooking huge & BIG LUBZ to everyone who was along for teh ride & continuez these hijinx to this day.

Shout to @Brother Emp @Brother Louis @Brother Jehu & @Brother Chuck for helping to lay teh foundation for the organization that this has become. (among many others)

Currently it looks like @DatKimble is teh one who started rocking shoops "as a thing" originally, but any detailz on those who were involved back in teh day would be appreciated. (I'm looking at you @BonyAcaiNogueiraBrothers ) :cool:

I intend to make a full on tribute of the past, that will segue into what it has become... so that new shoopers on our scene will not only understand what we're doing here, but to also know where we came from. It will be an instructional video, as well as a historical vault.

It's an effort to understand a rascalliness that perhaps cannot be understood nor quantified.

Whatever is and shall be... we must honor those who came before us & where that has lead us. This is my mission. Anyone who has historical insite is welcomed... (dare I say challenged)... to recall teh place this all came from & those who contributed, so that we can properly honor those who came before us. Please post here or in a PM if you have information in these regardz.

That sounds really interesting man. A study of any subject usually begins with a brief (or sometimes extensive) history of the subject.
