Man, that reminds me. BWR made this after he, @Arqueto , in the liver, and I put in work in the Santa hat/Xmas avatar thread. I've been on this forum for more than 15 years now, and it wasn't until BWR got me involved in the shoop threads that I actually talked with anyone or felt like I belonged here. That pic is such a simple thing, but it really meant a lot to me. It still does.

I remember that shoop. I've got the double Cerrone closed eye so that would have been Christmas 2020. My Imgur is still full of all the AVs we shooped. You did some awesome 3D work with the Santa hats. I can't believe that's almost 3 years ago. Wish in the liver was still around he was one of the GOAT Paint artists he missed the first round of a Paint contest once and still almost won the contest in the second round with his shoop it was so good.

hey guys, I finally have a chance to contribute to this thread - but I want to go on a lengthy post here

Let me start with my shoop I made, it's not much but it's in the spirit of things

yeah I was never this great at this stuff but I always thought of @bigwaverider as like Obi Wan Kenobi, a caring teacher devoting his life to how work and helping others learn the ways, like clearly his best student @Arqueto - man that opening post wave shoop is touching and I can imagine it must have been roughh to spend what appears to be HOURS making it eh

So I felt inspired to look through my own private convos with BWR and found all kinds of gems here, sharing his work feels like a better contribution to this thread than my own crap

Whenever we would talk about anything he would turn it into a shoop, he always surprised me with random replies like this

Because BWR likes to shoop with ppl avatars, I would of course have an annoying one that requires the middle be cut out. What a pain this must be to work with, but didn't stop him from making stuff like this:

I would like to think those previous things with @Myrddin Wild are water under the bridge - we sure did get carried away eh - life too short

How perfect is the above? Well not perfect enough for our perfectionist @bigwaverider who wrote me back shortly after saying it needed to be better

This is private conversation shit, but regardless always went out of his way to put a smile on his face with artwork

One time the forums were broken and I asked him what happened and he said he missed it and work up like this lol

anywho - yeah I lack confidense and focus and probably have ADD and Im lazy and shit - but he would always inspire me - he told me I can soar as high as I want and made this for me lol

And when I was sick I would get surprise greeting cards, like this

What a spectacular human being man - completely selfless and cared for evveryone man - like I can't say enogh about how special and amazing this person was

I made a crappy shoop and he immediately gave me a tutorial on how to do it better, plus a few more unsolicited tuts for things - all just for me - this is just private messages - I will leave you with these vids - but it goes to show how much joy he had in these things and teaching ppl stuff - we are all better for this stuff

And I will miss him dearly

Thanks bud and we have to get you making GIFs man. You have a fantastic work rate and once you get the bug you will love it. When I first started all I wanted to do was make GIFs and I was making them frame to frame which is the painful way but still fun. Are you a cellphone shooper?

If anyone wants to add one we can string them all together. Someone, myself included, would be more than happy to add family if they wish, or others who can't gif.

Maybe we could add a bunch of the shoopers Mac. I'm up for adding to it. I'm not sure Mike's family want to add their pictures but I could ask. I know we have had our differences in the past but I want you to know that BWR always thought highly of you and appreciated your art so it would be awesome if you made more as I know he would like it. This thread is about our brother @bigwaverider and nothing else.

There are people making GIFs here with cell phones bud and at a really high level too. I'll try and hook you up with someone who can help. If you start shooping on a PC though don't hesitate to ask me I'll help you out and I'll share some of the early tutorials BWR made for me on how to make GIFs. What program do you use for shooping?
