Devon was in the Canadian army (maybe special forces?) for years so hopefully he has boxing experience from there otherwise this makes no sense. He can't even straighten his arms due to injuries which surely can't help either

He admits he has no formal boxing experience but he did judo and karate apparently they are giving Thor an easy opponent because he wants to fight. Devon is not a small dude right now at 6'6" and 280 lbs. He is also insanely strong in the area's he needs to be and he also does around 7 miles a day around Canada and did something like a 70 mile hike with mountains over two days with his son. His cardio seems strong and I think he is crazy enough to go into deep waters while avoiding getting hit. That being said this is like a light workout for Thor. They must have offered him a 6 figure deal to take this fight on short notice and it's hard to say no to this number also Larry Wheels has something to do with it I bet.

Devon is a hero and a warrior. That being said, he has zero formal boxing experience and military hand to hand combat training, even at the highest level, is janky and for the most part, fake news. Hopefully he’s just playing mind games and actually has a boxing background.
