why is everyone using Fo4 as they're base game. it really doesnt look all that visually amazing. Yall should seriously setting your sites so much higher..

I am basing it off the recommended specs and the fact that I will be running it with 30-40 mods this/next year. Didn't build the PC specifically for Fallout 4, but it is the game I will be playing for hundreds of hours.

I don't play games because they are pretty, or build PC's for pretty games. I do however, want a PC that can eat these games up on 1080p and play them well when modded.

Fallout 4 is such a hugely popular game and it's nearing release, so people are just stoked and excited for it.

Here is the last gaming rig I built, about 3-4 months ago. LOVE the GTX 970, love the 4790k, love the mobo bios/options, LOVE the 500+GB SSD. Thinking about picking up another 16GB of ram for Fallout 4 though...

Thumb Drive and Arkham Knight were my freebies in this BTW.

Adding 16gb more ram to that will do literally nothing for you.

I do photo editing, video editing and gaming. Running games with lots of mods alot of the time as well. Multitasking and such.

I can give you about 20-30 reasons why I THINK I need it...

LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

Add to cart, checkout....

Keep checking Newegg. They had a sale a couple weeks ago for a EVGA 970 and it was ~$280.

Good lookin' out. Hopin' this means I can snag one for 250 or less on BF / CB (is Cyber Monday still even a thing anymore ?)

What do you think are the most demanding (or best looking) games coming out? I am blown away with UT4 right now and cant wait until it is complete, as well as what the future will bring on the engine.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up, man

Another option is an addon for Chrome called Hover Hound, I'm willing to bet there's one for Firefox as well. It'll show you the past prices of Newegg, Amazon, and another I don't recall and you can set it to send you an email like the price like pcpartpicker webiste.

Looking to upgrade around X-mas. I think my budget will be $1,000, If I can go lower than that, that would be great.

I also bought a samsung SSD (250GB) as well, i might get another as well.

thanks in advance.

toss in another 970?

Oh man, if that is the same CPU I had it's over 5 years old. I'm pretty sure I had it paired with and ATI 5770 hahah. I don't have time to look it up right now, but if the motherboard can handle a current AMD cpu that is what I would do. If not, I would look at getting an intel chip and mobo, maybe something like a 4670k. Then add a 970

Can you explain a little better, maybe some links to the items you mentioned. Not really smart about building pcs, buddy built this one for me about 6 years ago.

It can't use the newer processor. I had the same processor with 2 5670's.
