Surprised to see more people believe AI will hinder the gaming industry more than help it. Personally, I think AI will be a huge boon to the industry and the pros will outweigh the cons.

FYI for anyone who uses Cloud Saves via GOG Galaxy

We're reaching out to inform you that your Cloud Saves files that exceed the default allocation limit (200 MB per game) will be deleted after August 31st, 2024. Please review them to avoid the loss of files stored within your Cloud Saves available via GOG GALAXY. Saves stored locally on your computer(s) will not be affected.

After August 31st, 2024, we will begin deleting files from our Cloud Storage service. First and foremost we will delete unnecessary files – things that are not at all related to your game, but have found their way into the Cloud Save folder. Next, we will remove save game files, starting from the oldest and stop when the remaining files fit the allocation limit.

According to pricing details shared with me by multiple marketing professionals who requested anonymity, running a trailer during Summer Game Fest's main show this year cost $250,000 for one minute, $350,000 for one and a half minutes, $450,000 for two minutes, and $550,000 for two and a half minutes. They also say that last year's edition of the Game Awards featured the same pricing tiers.

Yeah a lot of companies are realizing their forecasts were too bullish. IDC has revised its PC shipment forecast from 3.4% to 2% to flat in the span of 6 months.

The Thing game remastered. I loved this game, but I recall us not being able to look up with the right analogue stick, as I played it on Xbox I think?

After a year of strife that included two franchised teams receiving a payout so they can leave LoL esports entirely, CLG going bankrupt selling their assets to NRG, TSM selling their spot to Shopify Rebellion to leave the region, a player walkout since all franchised teams dropped their support of tier 2, region having monthly active user number problems and a 'Pro' scene primarily compiled with import players. North American LoL franchised league(LCS) will be merged with two South American franchised leagues.

For those unaware the main contributors of the 'Esports Bubble' were the North American franchised League of Legends league(LCS) and Overwatch League. Both within a six month period have collapsed.
