And in on episode of jre bad and the commentator morulo says not only hunt flew into his punch he also landed on his steel cup that leads to koon a perfect shot where Hunt ran straight into it. Melvin is a hard puncher for sure, but it doesn't take nearly as much power to knock someone out when they run in wild like that.
Exactly, I have said this for years. Does he hit hard? Sure. Has he KO'd anyone who has a good chin or doesn't give up when hit solid? Nope. He KO'd two guys who get KO'd all the time. Impressive wins over good fighters, just nothing lots of other people haven't done also. Heck, the guy pounded on Lesnar all day and couldn't KO him and he was barely even defending himself. Carwin is definitely the most overrated power puncher in MMA history.
He's in a secret facility training UberTS.What happened to Carwins comeback. He was very engaged in social media, and tried to reach out to UFC and Bellator, and even signed up to fight in Rizin, but pulled out apparently due to drama involving his divorce or custody. Last I saw him post he said he was moving to Texas for a new engineering job in the oil fields or something. Anyone know whats up with him? Other than fighting, he was always very engaged with his fans, and always raising money for good causes, but no word in like a year.
This might be futile since you've been trying to discredit a professional for years... but I'm going to say it anyway because you're missing some perspective whether you're aware of it or not. No offense!
Carwin KO'd Mir and Gonzaga before they started getting "KO'd all the time". You could make the argument that his knockouts over them were the catalysts for turning diamond into glass. As for the Lesnar argument, I want you to look up the last time someone actually managed to knock that man out. I'll wait. He always reacted poorly to being hit, but like Carwin actually, could take some heavy bombs.
Actually bro.... Carwin has 8 KO’s out of 12 wins.... but one of his submission wins is due to strikes.
So Shane has a 75 percent finish rate due to strikes which is 2% better than Rumble.
Wouldn’t it be fun to watch those two go at it though?

I doubt this tremendously. Keep in mind this was a K-1 fight, in a RING. In addition Hunts forward momentum played a heavy part in that KO (we all have seen these). You know full well that when a fighter collides with a fighter heading in the opposite direction it compounds the force. Shane would knock guys out with 65 more lbs on them. Once Carwin got Manhoef against the cage it would be over via GNP.How dumb of you comparing a HW to a Welterweight & Middleweight, but since you are, Manhoef would KO Carwin into a deep sleep easily and effortlessly, everyone thought Hunt ( who is a better striker than Carwin on any and every level ) was going to KO Manhoef with ease, but we see how that went.
I've never bought the Cabbage had a steel chin thing. Joe Riggs was knocking him out in 2002.Arlovski cracked some of the best chins in the business. Cabbage, Nelson, Rothwell.
