But you didn't bother to answer the actual question. A lot of people here just watched an early UFC card that was labeled "garbage" and it had some amazing shit happen... then popped over to boxing and had one of the best HW fights of all time happen while we all laugh and have fun watching.

They shot down to his foot and you could see something was wrong, and throughout the fight, this crazy fuck was foot stomping HIMSELF to pop and keep the big toe back where it should be.... That was opening of first round and it dislocated at least his big toe the rest of the 14 minutes.

I'm not understanding your point. Are you trying to say that because they're champions that when the debuted on the lesser cards that they were ready for the title right then?

Not at all... but watching what can happen in the future is something we call "fun" and "entertainment" -- and we come to this new-fan dangled thing called "discussion forums" or "message boards" to talk and share "opinions" about "things."

Plus, the just bleed gods sprayed the mat with blood, a dude bad-asses his way through 14 minutes of fucking up his foot, to win a UD and give a really heart felt promo, and of course as mentioned -- the inevitable "cunt kick" brief time out where certain people didn't realize it was a thing that it hurt be kicked in the cunt.

But why have fun? Just shit on all of it and attack the guy who can sit here all night and work from home typing 60+WPM, presumably naked after the boxing fights and got laid to regulate your viewing habits on anything you watch?

Wow this is perhaps the worst arguments for watered down cards “some are good dammit! :’(“.

Yeah, no shit. Some fights are great even if it’s two no name fighters. Or Lando Vannata’s fight against Ferguson - random dude facing Ferguson but put on a great performance.

This can however not excuse the fact that we get watered down cards with mediocre talent. If I wanted to watch the b leagues, I’d watch One or Bellator or the hundreds of other orgs running right now. There is no shortage of MMA in this day and age, so your argument is just utterly stupid as there is a lot of free mediocre MMA out there right now.

The one thing I want from the org with the best fighters (not for LHW though) is great cards that have relevance to the rankings OR fighters we all love to watch. Unfortunately on average cards nowadays have 1 max 2 truly exciting fights with last night’s card being one of the worst with not a single fight with relevance to the rankings (women’s MMA rarely counts as the divisions are too thin).

I've said it a million times, once a fighter gets to the top they start fighting not to win necessarily but not to lose. It can make it hard to watch the top guys. They're waiting for each other to make a mistake and it just doesnt happen very often at the top. So fans end up watching two guys reluctant to take a chance just staring and fainting and throwing the odd shot and trying to get that last ten second take down.

The "no name" fighters aren't like that. They're fighting to make something of a career and are more willing to engage first and take chances. Its on the whole much more exciting.

Ya the whole MMA is dying, watered down cards, WMMA is a joke, manlet fight type posts and comments are annoying. I think those sorts of posters are the type of people that buy name brand clothes just because they're name brand, not because the clothes are made well or look, feel good. I personally enjoy their salty tears because I love fights. The only thing I care about is are the fighters trying to win.

Honestly the fight card was not very good and that's okay . Yes I also watch regional MMA . It had some decent fights , Agapova(great fight but I'm a simp) , Romanov, the Co main , the Rosa fight with all the blood(even though frankly the fight itself was just decent) and the main event was pretty fun and matters for rankings at women's SW.. but yeah it wasn't all that great I don't see the problem in expressing that .

Well for a start it was smack dab in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. That’s prime father/daughter time for me so I was in the park with my little girl. She’s 19 months and doesn’t like the fights (filthy casual, I know).

If a card is dog shit on paper, I don’t need to watch or even have it on the background. I also don’t give enough of a fuck to complain on a message board about it.

The things you mention--the blood, the 'crinkle toes' etc-- are enough to redeem a thin card based on your preferences. That's great for you, but doesn't necessarily mean fuck all for the rest of us.

If people want to complain about cards with weak line ups (for the record, I didn't care enough about this card to even complain about it), that shouldn't bother you as much as it seems to.

The fact that you ended up enjoying this card despite the fact that other people complained about it is not some kind of moral victory for you to come on here and gloat about. Get over yourself.

I felt the card would suck when I read the initial line up and after having seen it, I haven't changed my mind. It did not interest me. That's fine too because obviously people have different tastes.
