I don't know how many times this has to be said, some of these cards that "suck" according to the fickle asshats out there -- More often than not, they are fun.
  • Blood -- and I mean blood. A true gift from the just bleed gods.
  • Crinkle toes -- Rare to see someone foot stomping themself to keep there toe in place.
  • Back and forth old school grappler vs striker.
Quite honestly for all those that bitch about free cards and garbage cards, if you're not out at a game or movie or bar or some shit, what the hell else are you really doing on a Saturday night?

Watching network television?
Magic the gathering with people that smell like board game farts?

Cards like this are often entertaining and fun, but for 2-3 fucking weeks all these "this card sucks" threads just jizz all over the front forums page.

The fuck else you doing? Watch or don't watch, I could care less, but tonight proves (AGAIN, for like GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES).......

The blood alone was worth it lol.

Yep, today's card was awesome, but I think anyone who actually watches all the fights knew it was going to be.

Of course lesser known fighters aren't going to interest you if you only watch the big names.

I mean people just need to do a bit of thinking from a business standpoint. You got a pretty big boxing match coming up tonight, do you really want to compete with a hyped boxing card or have a morning card to put a bunch of prospects that could potentially build up some new fighter stock

freak,we here for a good competition not to watch somebody getting butchered

A great advertisement for going out and watching regional level MMA.

Well said.
I''ll take that over some over-paid social justice asshat jogging up and down a court and acting like they relate to normal people lol. It's better than football... I like football, but 1 play every 30 seconds and taking 3+ hours to play a game scheduled for 60 mins just isn't as appealing.

Crap MMA is better than 99% of shit on tv, especially a Saturday night, and the rest you can stream whenever the hell you want.... Live violence FTW!

Anyone got a pic of that exxon valdex level blood spill?

Everybody stops to watch a street fight. But if you were told ahead of time that Jim Anderson and Brad Gannett are going to fight, your reaction will be

<FookIsThatGuy> <Fedor23>

If unknowns put on a banger, their reputation will follow. Until then, why should anybody watch them ahead of time?

Also there are a lot of shitty fights between unknowns

I like having PPVs stacked lately. I don't care if every fight night was headlined by Mackenzie Dern.

Okay speaking about Magic the gathering..... I was watching the magic the gathering worlds champions ship on the side while watching the fight night card.

Yes, it’s true you cannot judge how entertaining a card will be on paper and many poor looking cards are fun from a just bleed standpoint. However, there’s something to be said for fights that actually have some meaning. I understand that people need more than just nameless violence to be invested. Like somebody else pointed out, regional amateur fights can be entertaining too. And I say this as somebody that watches virtually every UFC card top to bottom.

Same goes for any other sport. Most people prefer to watch their team that they know. Or watch playoff/championship games instead of games between bottom tier teams, even if the bottom tier game is a more entertaining game.

I missed the majority of the card, but heard it was good from trusted sources.

Again, as I've typed a million times on this forum, match making is more important than names. The match making in the UFC has been better than ever during and since the beginning of the pandemic. It creates better cards and we're all better off for it.

There have been countless cards that weren't "good on paper" that yielded exceptional results. Yes, people are going to moan and groan about them; take screen shots; make threads. Who cares? They are going to probably shit on a good card too.

If you watch MMA solely for names, you're going to be disappointed. However, a byproduct of these cards not being stacked is the the UFC is on an incredible run of stacked cards to end this year and possibly begin next year, which is how it should be if they want our money monthly.

I'm just a fan man. Look at my history, I love fights.

It really didn't answer "what else would you be doing". My options are bar, board / card games, PC competition, chess, the bar, the bar WITH fights, a movie with the woman, we already had a pot roast started 5 hours ago....

It's just an honesty question. Even if I'm doing anything around the house or my work from home, why not just throw the event on in the background? I mean I know everyone ain't got multiple screen setups, but i'd venture to say that most do.

I'm hardwired though, so normally posting here, fiights on one screen, was playing Trials Fusion of all things on the 3rd heh.... but why say you're going to boycott or avoid it when in 2021 you can easily just have it on in the background at the very least? Too elite? I don't understand that aspect of it is all.
