Dricus has been very loud in campaigning for this fight and actively seeking it when asked publically. none of the typical "I'll fight who the promotion puts in front of me" Stuff that does not substantiate wanting to fight said opponent that we typically might see, Dricus fought Whittaker before his title fight with izzy (which became sean) and was welcoming of it. No other contender had to fight whittaker before Izzy except cannonier, but the ufc likes fucking that guy over for some reason. he was confident enough to take the hardest fight other than the champ before the title, It stands to reason he'll take the hardest challenges he can as a champion.

It's really weird in between fights it does seem like DDP wants to dictate who, when, and where. I want to jump on him for it, and he's sort of beat only old dogs to get his names Strickland 2x/Whittaker/Izzy/Brunson/Till. But he's an animal in the cage and gives it all. A little choosey I think behind the scenes, but all he has left are the real new generation ahead with Caio/Khamzat/Imavov who are on hot streaks right now.

His team campaigned hard for Khamzat to get the fight after the first Strickland fight. Strickland kept crying and Dana White said he would get his rematch. After Dricus ran through Strickland, the first thing he said he wanted Khamzat next. From an objective stand point, there is zero doubt Dricus has any reason to duck him. He had been training very hard for this fight even to the point of having his sparring partner grow a beard like Khamzat and shave his head.

No, I've heard him say many times that he wants this to be his next fight and he thinks it will be a very interesting and entertaining scrap. Its just an injury which happens to everyone in MMA, I'm certain they will do the fight this year at some point.

DDP wants to dictate who, when, and where... thats so stupid... basically every champion does that... somehow this bothers you only with DDP ?. Show me when he was cherry picking fights exept when before second fight with sean he wanted khamzat.
