Wonder. I am always impressed with your posts. They are always shrouded in honor and decency.
I worked at Cantor Fitzgerald In the Chicago office. During my time there I made several trips to the building and also made several friends at the firm. I lost touch with a lot of them but some ties ramained strong and in tact. There are (were) three guys in particular that I would spend social time with everytime I would visit N.Y. wich is about once a month. All Of my business activities are firmly entrenched in the workings of downtown and middle Manhattan. In addition I spent numerous years in law enforcement before my current gig.
I and people around me for business purposes have direct ( constantly open phone lines) to customers in the WTC. After the impacts we had the great displeasure of listening to people begging for anyone to help them and subsequently screaming while we watched it all unfold before our eyes on the "big screen" One of my close friends and business associates had to watch from an adjacent building while his best friend and ex-college room mate burned to death. I could go on and on but whats the point. Too many funerals, too many crying widows and fatherless children staring off into space not knowing what " He's/She's gone" could possibly mean. Too much sorrow from unarmed civilians that I only knew as good hardworking people. I can feel for your loss. I guess this is why I get so enraged at these anti American and anti-U.S. Gov threads. I know I should just ignore them, but I am still a little sore, as I am sure you are.
I have prayed, I have wept and now the time has come to eliminate the source of this unforgivable Evil.
