Seems Like Rose Ain't Coming Back Anytime Soon

Carla doesn't have anything on Rose. She's small, physically weak and not even that good at her only strength. Rose might even outgrapple her if she actually tried to fight. Rose has Rose's number. She's her own worst enemy.

The first time they faced each other, Rose was 22, skinny and on her fourth pro fight. Carla had thrice the experience.

Rose has improved ridiculously more than Carla since then. She also has a significant size and strength advantage now. She should have destroyed Carla in the rematch. Carla was lucky she was across the octagon in one of those days when Rose boycotted herself. Neither of them did shit to win the fight. It should have been a 49-49 draw.
She lost the decision. Just get over it dude.

Getting gifted the decision in a fight you didn't do shit to win and having your opponent's number aren't the same thing, dude.
She's 2-0. Rose performed that way because of who she was fighting. You know she doesn't fight that way against Weili.

Numbers without context don't mean much. Yes, Carla won the first fight, but she faced a Rose that was 22, skinny and on her fourth pro fight. Carla had thrice experience.

This Carla doesn't have a single tool that would allow her to actually beat any of the best fighters in the division. She didn't do anything to deserve getting the belt in the second fight. She couldn't even convincingly beat an opponent that wasn't even trying to fight.

Who was Rose fighting? A Carla that got outgrappled by Weili, who Rose dominated on the ground? Rose has absolutely nothing to fear from Carla. At this point of their careers, Rose should beat Carla by anything she wants and Carla's only path to a draw (which is what the second fight should have been) is Rose boycotting herself.

Excellent rebuttal sir.
Rose absolutely should've slayed Carla in the second fight, but I guess we'll always be left wondering why she was gun shy.

She's still the superior fighter like you said though.

something off about the whole pat barry / rose thing. every rose interview turns into a pat barry interview. pats got that wide eyed look everytime now. should have got out of fighting way earlier. mentally they dont seem there.

I don't think I've ever seen her get interviewed without Pat a few feet away supervising what she says. It's disturbing.

I believe Carla is the second worst champion and probably the luckiest fighter in UFC WMMA history. No one has won more with so little skill, deserving so little.

She won the inaugural SW belt against an opponent with very little experience. When she had to face an experienced fighter in her first title defense, she got demolished.

She wasn't really on a 5-win streak when she got her second title shot. She got gifted the decision in at least 2 of those fights. Xiaonan, who has no grappling at all, was the only opponent she beat convincingly. Then she got gifted the belt doing nothing in a "fight" that should have been a draw, only to get destroyed again in her first title defense.

In an interview before Namajunas vs Esparza 2, Tatiana, who's a much better wrestler than Esparza, said Carla has good technique but isn't strong and predicted she wouldn't be able to hold Rose down. Joanna said the same thing. They were right. Carla couldn't hold Rose down for a single second. The one time she got her back, Rose shook her off like she was a kid. And Rose took her down with absolute ease in the fifth. Rose could have probably even outgrappled her if she had tried to fight.

Funny thing is that the most inactive Rose ever would have won the "fight" throwing 2 more punches per round. That's literally all it would have taken to beat the person that according to Kyojiro has her number. The reality is that Carla doesn't have the number of any of best fighters in the division. She doesn't have the skills, the size nor the strength to pose a threat to any of them. She needed Rose to boycot herself and do nothing to get gifted the belt in what should have been a draw. She most certainly beat the champion to become the champion.

Yeah I have to agree sir.
I thought Rose was going to wipe the floor with her tbh.

she's the kinda chick to go become a monk and disappear into the himalayas or something. she's definitely out there. like a ricky williams type.

She’s done. That was obvious when she tried that grappling match and mid level fighter Gillian Robertson easily subbed her and turned her into a sore loser. Her competitive spirit is dead.
