I don't think he was speaking directly to me.. I mean, I hope not. I like Bernie, but the bs and pandering of the left right now is inexcusable, and they need to know it's a losing strategy.
This would be true if it were the dominant strategy of Bernie's campaign. 90% of the words that come out of his mouth are about challenging power and a political revolution to get money out of politics but you choose to focus on the 10% of the words coming out of his mouth pandering to modern wokeness and you act like that's all his campaign is about.

I tagged Kuracana out of humor because Bernie's campaign has been repeating that for the last four months and he started a thread about it a while back. These recent moves he's been pulling with the KSA are absurd and quite dangerous though. I (at least) don't think he's homophobic, nor do I know or associate with anybody who does. I actually defended Trump on that yesterday.
He was on record supporting same-sex marriage a full decade before it became legalized nationwide ("If two people dig each other, they dig each other"). Joe Biden is more homophobic, and enthusiastically supported DOMA along with an overwhelming bipartisan majority of Congress.
Trump would probably be one the least homophobic posters on this subforum if he was a registered War Roomer. A dubious VP choice for sure, but mostly for the political and representative purpose of solidifying support from a substantial right-wing evangelical base. Bernie is a real one though, doing this was of absolutely zero political benefit at the time.
^ Dude In that video: The most corrupt member of Congress ever if measured by the amount of bribes he admitted accepting (several $ million's worth). He would later plead guilty to federal charges of tax evasion and conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud, and wire fraud.

I doubt he's homophobic, but Bernie and his team have been and are still openly anti white. Which, if it were in regards to any other race, would likely be his political death knell.
Bernie's position to pay off student loan debt seems like a hard sell to most Americans who don't have a college degree.
Why should someone who took out a big loan to pay for some useless degree be off the hook while most Americans who will have to pay for the loan did not go to college and have the college experience?
Parents who sacrificed to save to pay for their kid's education so their kid didn't have a lot of debt will feel like suckers.
He's not running on identity politics. He's running on economic populism and seizing back control of our government and country from a tiny powerful elite. That is the root problem in this country and no other candidate addresses it aside from Warren. Literally nothing else matters as long as our government is captured by a tiny elite and serves their interests instead of the common people's interests
I think you might need a reality check . While the racist homophobic shit is a bit over the top you can make good arguments for being a sexist and he is for sure dangerous .
From emboldening our enemy Russia ... not saying they put him in office but it is clear they are engaging in a kind of online culture warfare that is driving our country bonkers all the while half of you cheer it on .... To iran who we kind of had a grip on and now they are off the reservation and now up to no good .... to saudi arabia who we know is a brutal regime who is waging a fucked up war kills journalists and exports terror all over the world is being sold weapons by donald trump even when congress told him he couldnt .
But yea Bernie is a piece of shit for wanting to go to bat for the middle class and finally give them the bailout that everyone else but them got and calling a spade a spade even though it was dramatic

Every politician plays the identity politics game. That is how you maximize your reach. Bernie does so just like many others.
Claiming "whites don't know poverty" is blatantly delving into identity politics as well as a shameless attempt to pander to black voters. Both his last press secretary and his current have made countless disparaging comments about whites, and are both black women. Bernie didn't fare as well as Clinton did with black voters so he's seemingly doing whatever he can and surrounding himself with whoever he can to secure those votes. If you don't think this is all a calculated move, you're naive. Bernie is a politician who wants to win, and you have to play identity politics to win in the current political climate. Look at Trump, for example.

That was clearly a gaf on Bernie's part and not something he sincerely believes. Acting like it's anything other than that shows you're not here in good faith. There are tens of millions of poor white people in America and Bernie has been fighting for them his entire life.

Violence/Genocide: Do not condone violence or genocide on a person or group of people. You are free to attack a person or groups ideas but you are crossing the line when calling for violence. This will be heavily enforced in threads with breaking news involving victims.
