One of the main thing that annoys me about this guy is he talks and acts like he is some crazy guy, yet when he is in the cage all he does his throw jabs with a deer in headlights look on his face. He literally couldn't look any more passive of a fighter.

The talking works for him, just like it worked for Chael.

He has braindead fans are accusing anybody who says that he's boring of having a political agenda.

Conor is the only fighter in history to back up his talk in the cage.

You're either an amazing talker and within normal limits on the cage like Strickland, Chael etc or you're a maniac in the cage like Gaethje but normal on the mic.

Conor being both is incredibly rare. Even if Conor had a boring personality he would be known for being the most exciting in the cage. He has literally never had a bad fight (closest thing would be vs Mayweather but that was boxing), it's mind-blowing.

He's not a passive fighter. But he is an extremely intelligent fighter -- which is the polar opposite of his personality.

'Extremely' intelligent is laying it on a bit thick. The guy has dropped two split decisions in his last 5 fights. He also got knocked out while displaying poor fight IQ before that, leaving him 3-3 in his last 6.

He is indeed a relatively smart fighter. But a point fighter who cannot get over the line in close decisions cannot be said to be some 220 fight IQ wizard by definition.

It's not worth breaking out the superlatives like you want to show up to his house wearing kneepads.

the “crazy” part of it was obviously exaggerated. if he were actually crazy, he’d be living that mayhem miller lifestyle.

as far as the “deer in the headlights” look, he’s always looked like that. that’s just his face. he looks like he’s focusing really hard, like he’s playing a video game or something.

His fighting style doesnt back up his mouth, it really cant be debated.

Having one of the best striking defense stats, and a high accuracy stat, and a high TDD stat are all signs of a very intelligent fighter.

The fight had ~800 strikes involved and Sean threw 50 more than DDP, I guess that was fine.
When was the last time you saw a guy throw 99 punches in the 5th at MW and up???
It's not that there wasn't blood, damage, or punches per se.

It is that Sherdog wants MOAR blood, damage, and punches per se.

MOAR WOAR!!

So remembering the Izzy beat down hurts too much?

Uh, there's plenty of fighters who fight like they act. Look at Mike Perry or Eddie Alvarez for example. Both guys just talk about wanting to slug it out and drown themselves in the violence. Then they pretty much always do that, win or lose.

Strickland meanwhile goes on about wanting to beat people to death, but once the fight starts he's all jabs off the backfoot for the entire fight like a borderline Do Nothing Bitch.

Just because he has a few screws loose doesn't mean he doesn't have the capacity to understand what he's good at.

No, I was rooting for Sean in that fight. I am not a fan of Izzy. But with that said, after he dropped him that one time he really just out pointed Issy.

Ayo, you was check it, though. Sean Strickland,,,,the man's he was a whole next vibe outside of #battle cage, but inside, it's a different ting, my fam. Mans he was always on this forward grind of his, defence active like he's dodging TTC fare inspectors. And when he flips on that #bluecollarmatrix technique of his? Opponents was become cheese and broken, left wondering what the 6ix just been happened by the end of the battle. If you cannot rate that, you was just been hating, str8 facts no printer 💯👌💰

Styll,,, big up your views, eh, wish you blessed 🙏🤲 🤑
